November 8, 2003- Something's Up
The War On Terror has been interesting theater if nothing else. There have been many dramatic developments in it over these last two years, and that face and objective of it seem to be always changing. At first, it was a war that was being fought to avenge the attacks of September 11th, 2001, and to find those responsible for them and punish them and basically wipe them out. Then, about a year ago, it shifted focus to becoming a war that was being fought to liberate a country from tyranny and to depose a dictator that threatened the safety of the entire world. When it started, President Bush warned us all not to expect anything like what we had seen in any previous war, that this was a new type of war for a new century. Whether or not it has really been a new type of war is open to debate, but there is no doubting that it is going to be a very hard war. Recent events have proven that out, just yesterday, there was another American military helicopter shot down by another shoulder-fired missile launched by the Iraqi resistance, whoever they are now. The American soldiers have been saying that they are feeling increasingly unsafe no matter where they are in Iraq and America is not fighting this war in the right fashion. That sentiment has been echoed by the American people all across the land. The Pentagon has heard that, and they have acted. Just the other day, the pentagon said that they were going to decrease the numbers of forces in Iraq by sending lots of the ones that are currently there home and replacing them with lesser numbers of troops. Now, most people thought that this was fuckin' insane, so the Pentagon explained themselves thusly. They said that what they have in mind is to do more with less, like using the American troops more efficiently, and shifting to a different battle plan that makes better use of the troops and manpower. This sounds especially crazy because Congress just approved the entire 87 billion dollars that Bush requested to help fund the war effort. Now the Pentagon has more money than ever to throw all around in Iraq, and they decide that they are going to scale things back. Many people do not give a shit why they are scaling back, just that they are, and that means that the soldiers there can finally come home, hopefully for good. Exactly what the Pentagon wants everyone to think. They want to make it seem as if they have the situation sufficiently in hand to be able to send the troops home and make the public happy. In reality, there is something altogether different afloat. The Pentagon is not going to rotate the troops like they say that they are just because there is pressure to send the troops home from that dangerous situation. The Pentagon has said that America will never back out of its commitments in Iraq, and they really mean it now, because they have those 87 billion dollars to spend as they see fit, and they see fit to spend every penny of that money somewhere. What The Pentagon is doing with these troop rotations is paving the way for a shift in the battle plan. They know that things are getting way out of hand as it is in Iraq, and that they are only going to get worse, not better. They now realize that they are indeed up against a worthy opponent now that Saddam is out of the picture. These recent attacks have proven that the opposition has the means and the ability to fight America and to make a difference doing it too. So The Pentagon has seen that they have to shift gears again and try a different tactic. That is what they are up to here. They are shifting the troops out of Iraq and sending them home not as a gesture of goodwill, but as part of a massive troop redeployment. AS I have stated previously, the Pentagon is closing military bases in Europe and Asia and sending the manpower to places like Krgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and other similar hard-to-spell and pronounce places that used to be part of the USSR. These places are all neighbors to the Middle East in general, and Iraq and Iran in particular, so that is why the troops are being sent there, so that America can effectively surround the Middle East with their troops and be anyplace there very soon. There have been reports of massive movements of American troops via military flights flying over Scotland in recent weeks. The last time that America fought in the Middle East in 1991, this very same routs was flown by the military to get troops and supplies in place for Operation Desert Shield and later, Desert Storm. This would seem to indicate that the Pentagon is putting its troops in place for some kind of hostilities in the Iraq region somewhere. It would seem highly unlikely that America would resort to bombing raids in Iraq now that they control the country, because they would have to be the ones that fixed everything up again once it was all over. That makes one wonder what it going on here. If you look at the things that President Bush has said that he wants from this war, this all could be building up to that. Bush has basically de facto stated that he wants to invade Iran and take it over like America did in Iraq. Bush feels that this is necessary to keep the Iraqi insurgents and opposition from having a safe haven to live in and plan their movements from and to get rid of the current Islamic Iranian government and replace it with a pro-American regime. Bush wants to do this shit every bit as much as he wanted to invade Iraq last year. Perhaps one of the reasons that he wanted to do this so much was not related to making money for Mr. Businessman but rather to use Iraq as a staging area for his and The Pentagon's grander plans of a newly-reshaped Middle East, one that poses no threats to America at all. This has really been what The Pentagon and White House have been after since Day One. They don't just want to control one country in the Middle East, no matter how important that country may be, they want to control all of the Middle East, the same dream that the White Man had when he first arrived in that part of the world and saw that there was lots and lots of money to be made there. Back then, the Colonial Powers gave some power in the countries that they invented to the local Arab peoples so that they would look good. But ultimately, that little power grew larger and larger until the Arabs had the real power in these countries, and that was when they started making trouble for the West, and things have never been the same since. America wants to take that power back from the Arabs. They want to re-shape the Middle East into what the Colonial Powers wanted it to be, but could not accomplish because they were just too fuckin' nice. So bush has decided that he is the one to re-shape the Middle East into that vision, although this time, America will be the Supreme Colonial Power in the region and have control over it all. That way the Islamic terrorist threat in neutralized and everyone lives happily ever after, according to the Pentagon and White House.
So this new shift in the battle plan is most likely the latest campaign to make this dream of Bush's a reality. If there are really American planes flying to the region, they would most likely be going there to stage an airstrike against Iran, and start the takeover there. Bush wants that to be the next prize in his crusade badly. Not only because Iran is Iraq's next-door neighbor, but Iran is one of the largest of the Middle Eastern states, in land area, population, and, most importantly for Bush, natural resources that can be converted into money for Mr. Businessman. Back before 1979, when Iran was friendly to America, there was a huge fuckin' amount of money that flowed from Iran into America. Most of that money is still in America, in the bank accounts that were frozen when the Ayatollah Khomeini came to power. There has been legal wrangling and bickering for years over whether these funds should be given back to the government of Iran in 1979 dollars, or today's dollars and so forth. The best way for all of that shit to be stopped right away is for America to take over Iran, and then that money becomes America's, in today's dollars as well. That alone is incentive enough for Bush to want to take over Iran, for these are millions, possibly billions, of dollars, and they would go a long way towards defraying some of the costs of the war. But there are untold other billions of dollars for the taking within Iran itself. Iran is oil-rich out the fuckin' ass, and we all know how much President Bush covets that oil money for his American Businessman friends. There are also several million people in Iran, most of them under 21. This is vast army of young people that America would love to brainwash into becoming zealots for the American cause, and they have been trying this already for like a year now with their propaganda broadcasts into Iran. Those are two more big reasons why George W. Bush covets Iran so as his next trophy in the War On Terror. Americans have already hated Iran for almost 25 years now, ever since the Iranian Hostage Crisis of 1979, so they are already seen as bad guys in the eyes of the American people, so selling a regime change there to the American people would not be a difficult thing. However, there is one reason that Bush wants to invade Iran that supersedes all of the others. If America was to take over Iran, they would be a long way towards that dream of conquering the Middle East, because if they controlled both Iraq and iran, that would not only be a sizeable chunk of real estate that they controlled, but a sizable number of Middle Eastern Muslims that would be under American control. In fact, if America was to have control of these two countries, that would be the two biggest countries that are real threats to America in the region. Libya, Sudan, Syria, and the like are not really big countries in any way, and if America had control of Iraq and Iran, would not really be able to put up any kind of effective fight against America anymore. The thinking in the White House and Pentagon is that this would scare these countries into voluntarily changing their regimes and being friendly to America, thus avoiding being forcibly invaded and all that. Getting rid of the likes of Moammar Ghaddafi in Libya and Haffez Assad in Syria appeals to America very much, because those dudes are major troublemakers for America and always have been. To remove them without using military force would be a coup for America. Then, all that America would have to worry about is Saudi Arabia, the cradle of Islam, where the ruling family is in deep trouble and only hanging on to power through buying off the Islamic radicals. America is fully aware that these Islamic radicals want to establish an Islamic theocracy in saudi Arabia, and that sort of government is never friendly to America, so the White House does not want that. America knows that sooner or later, probably sooner, they are going to have togo into Saudi Arabia and fight these radicals and not let them take over the country because Mr. American Businessman has lots and lots of financial interests in Saudi Arabia. Since President Bush always does what Mr. Businessman wants him to do, he has no intention of letting Saudi Arabia become an anti-American state. Soif America was in control of at least Iraq and Iran in the area, they would have a formidable force ready to go on a moment's notice to go onto Saudi Arabia and put a stop to any insurrections that may be brewing. Then, America would have control over all the Middle East that mattered, except for Egypt, but I imagine that Bush will send troops there too if he sees the need for it. This is why there are so many things going on with the American troops as of late, the groundwork for all of this is starting to be laid. The Pentagon and White House will never come right out and admit that this is what they are up to, because it sounds so fuckin' grandiose (because it is so fuckin' grandiose) that if it did not happen, America would look really bad and stupid by saying that it would when it did not. Bush wants to take the Middle East piece by piece, going after the larger pieces first. That way, he can have individual triumphs in every land and build towards his mad dream of Middle Eastern supremacy. When it all started in 2001, he said that this would be like no other war, and the reality of it is that is because this is a war that is merely a pretext. It is a pretext for America to try and conquer the world and all the riches that it has to offer for itself. The terrorists are merely an excuse to wage the war. Something's up alright, and it is something very big, something that will ultimately shape the future of mankind, whether it is in the way that the White House and Pentagon see, or if it it will be in some other way that no one forsaw or even wanted. Whatever it is, it will surely be monumental, and all that sane, peace-loving people can hope for is that it is nit something that will eventually destroy us all. For one nation has never been able to rule the Earth in the past, and many have destroyed themselves trying. This War On Terror looks like America's attempt to show that they can succeed where the others failed, and they shall find out that no matter what century it is or how rich and powerful a nation is, that they will also fail if they try the same thing.
