What we have seen is what Washington calls an "insurgency", a guerrilla war directed against America by some Iraqis and assorted Muslims. We all remember how easily Washington thought that resistance would crumble into dust under their might and how that has not happened at all. Instead, the resistance has grown steadily during the American occupation, and has grown more powerful and has been giving America the fight of its life more and more as time has gone on. No, these were not the fabled "dead-enders", and "losers" that Washington made them out to be, they have slowly become a formidable military foe to the greatest military power on earth. There have been numerous reasons for that, and one of them has been that decision by Washington to blow off Saddam's military and not deal with them at all. Because of that decision, those Iraqi military men were left with a hard decision to deal with. They had only worked in the military for the most part, and did not have very many civilian skills needed to get legitimate jobs in the civilian sector of the new Iraq, and besides that, it did not matter if they did anyway, because America just was not going to let them do anything due to their previous employment. There was no amnesty program offered by America to these soldiers, like quit the military and we'll give you a job and shit, these dudes were just personas not grata that were told that they had no place in the new Iraq, in fact, America said that they were going to come after these dudes and at least arrest them for their previous deeds, if not outright kill their asses for it. That left an awful lot of trained professionals with nothing to do and nowhere to go in the new society, so they did about the only thing they could do under the circumstances. One by one, little by little, they started to hook up with the resistance and become insurgent fighters. Even though they might not have believed in these Islamic Holy Men that were running the show there, they hooked up with them and offered their services. Those Holy Men did what Washington would not do, re-train these dudes to be loyal to them and to follow their orders. That probably was not too hard to do, as these dudes were certainly none to pleased with Washington for essentially kicking them out of their own society just because they were in Saddam's army and not even giving them a chance. So, they were probably a lot more amenable to listening to these same Holy Men that they studiously avoided at the mosques on Friday and working for them. Their work has been invaluable to the Holy Men too, as the more of them join up, the stronger the insurgency grows and the worse that it can do to America. Now, some of these military dudes are no longer just low-ranking grunts, but high up in the rankings because they had that experience that America thought was no good. They learned a lot working for Saddam, and they are using against America now, not for them like it could have been. America now sees that these cats are not so useless after all, and do have a lot to offer anyone that hires them and has started to have a change of heart about it all.
Suddenly, just yesterday or so, Washington reversed itself on its previous position and said that they were willing to hire some of these dudes back after all. They said that they were wiling to hire dudes back that were under the rank of Major and were"honorable people." Whatever the fuck that means, I do not know, and neither does anyone else. Such a vague statement could pnly be construed as an open invitation to all of these same soldiers that were thrown aside before to come on back and work for your new country's government. America is suddenly willing to train them and give them the jobs that they denied them before and the question is why. The answer to that lies in the insurgency itself. America sees that these soldiers of Saddam's Are helping that out very much. Washington has always looked on Saddam as a foolish military man that did not know shit, and figured that he trained his troops accordingly. That was the real reason why they did not hire them right off, because they thought that they were just a Bunch of incompetents. They figured that these dudes had so much say in Saddam's Iraq simply because it was a dictatorship, and there was no one else there to interfere with them. That would mean that any dunces could be these powerful Pigs and such if there's No one around to do anything to them ever. So, America did not really think that they were letting anything valuable get away when they cast these soldiers aside so that's why they did it. In these ensuing months, they have found out otherwise the hard way, as those same soldiers are now running the insurgency. America has seen that these guys are far from incompetents, in fact, that they are very competent indeed. Washington sees that if they had these cats working for them, that they would have an easier time of it like they were told and now they want that to go down. America has seen the sway that these guys have over their people, and that's Something that America has had a hard time getting. Now they see that if they get these cats to work for them instead of against them, they'll be able to do what they wanted to do in Iraq more. So that is why this sudden reversal of policy has been announced and why washington thinks that it's so good now. All they see is being able to finally subjugate the Iraqi people under their might and then be able to move to to Iran and such to continue their mad crusade and they'll do about anything to facilitate that now. Hiring these same dudes that they have excluded from things for almost three years is nowhere near too big a thing to do to make that happen. Since they are so easily re-trainable, the Holy Men have proven that, washington figures that they'll have no problem getting these dudes to come on back to their side and work for them, hell, America just has to offer a better employment package to these guys than the Holy Men do , I am sure that they don't have medical and dental benefits or overtime pay, and America won't lecture the soldiers on religion every Friday either. So, America now thinks that they are offering an irresistible deal to these guys, and that they have turned the corner on the insurgency. After all, when you look at the new iraq that America has set up and compare it to the scene of the Holy Men, it just has to look better, because America is supposed to be the king of all societies and anything that they set up just has to be better than anything else there is. So, America now thinks that all that they have to do is to sit back and wait for the desertions to start and reap the benefits of that themselves. However, as always, the fantasy world that washington exists in tends to be just that, a fantasy world with very little correlation to reality.
America has just waited far to long to make this offer to make it do any good at all. It has been almost three long years since these guys were told to go fuck off by Washington, and they cannot be too happy about that. Sure, they do not like working for the Holy Men and living like shit and hearing all that Allah shit all the time, but they know that Washington is even less sincere to them than those others are. They know exactly why they are now suddenly cool dudes when they have been outcasts for so long, because they have been fucking things up for America royally. They do not trust the Holy men much, but they know that they'll keep them around after they've done their job, if for no other reason, because they are fellow Muslims. America just wants to use them and dump them just like they've been doing with the likes of Ahmed Chalabi and these other carpetbaggers and they are not up for that. They won't get millions of dollars out of it like Chalabi does, they'll get essentially nothing and then be shown the door by Washington. It is better for them to work for the Holy Men even though those cats are the real dead-enders of the scene, because America is not sincere with them at all and never will be. So, there would be only one reason that any of these soldiers would take Washington up on its offer and that would be to cause trouble from the inside. They know what America thinks of them, and they can surely act the part just to get inside and them resume their insurgent activities from there. The Holy Men know that too, and there just have to be more than a few of them considering just that for their troops. They'll let the soldiers "defect"over to America because there, they can do even more damage than they can now. Oh, the Holy Men will decry and pillory then from the mosque on Friday, telling the assembled masses that these "traitors" are now excommunicated from Islam or whatever they do to kick you out and that they are now the enemy. Washington will buy that shit hook, line and sinker. They will fill the soldiers heads all full of shit about how their own Holy Men rejected them and America accepted them and now consider them one of their own and so forth. The soldiers will play the part to the hilt, repudiating Islam and eating pork and blowing off daily prayers and such, making it seem as if they are now with America all the way. But they'll be with America about as much as they always were, and they'll use their newfound positions to crate chaos and sabotage all the way down the line. They will still have plenty of contact with the Holy Men, that's who they'll rally be taking orders from, and they'll also be passing information on to them and telling them everything that America is up to from the inside. That will mean that the insurgency will start to gain even bigger victories over America than they have already and Washington will be mystified as to why. They will be their usual pig-headed selves and refuse to listen to their own soldiers that will be telling them over and over again that they don't trust the Iraqis for this and that reason. The American troops wil be told to shut the fuck up and work with the Iraqis, even when they know that these Iraqis are traitors all the way and out to hurt America. Since this will be under an American control, things like discrimination and harassment will be brought up, the American soldiers will be told that they need to shut up about the Iraqis or risk discrimination lawsuits being brought against the Pentagon.The American system itself will offer great cover for these double agents to hide behind and the damage they'll do will be nothing short of catastrophic. That's why they'll be so eager to come on back like Washington's inviting them to do now, it will have zero to do with their country, and everything to do with continuing to fight the invaders and apostates and so forth. America is just making it easier for these insurgents to wage guerrilla war against them, not doing anything that will win them the war. More Americans, not less, will die as a result of this foolhardy policy, and depending on how far up the ladder these dudes are allowed to climb, more Americans will be at risk than ever. Since now it is going to be acting ability that gets these soldiers farther along than anything else, it stands to reason that the best actors will rise the highest, and those same best actors will certainly be the ones that hate America the most and want to destroy it. All Washington will accomplish through this misguided policy is to elevate its worst enemies to its highest levels and facilitate the war against themselves. That's why Washington has to go back to what they said before, since they did not say it at first when these sort of things could possibly have been prevented, they cannot ever say it, because that opens the door to their own destruction. However, Washington will do just that, and they will then be giving the enemy the greatest thing that they ever could give them and just get deeper and deeper into the quagmire that is Iraq and never get the fucking thing done ever.
