This bio-terrorism shit is nothing new. It is just an outgrowth of chemical weaponry. That in its most recognizable form goes back to the days of World War 1 and the mustard gas and all that shit that was used in that war. From that you got chemical warheads and all that. If you were going to make these sort of weapons, you needed a chemical or what is now called a biological agent to use in them. That led man to start to learn how to synthesize disease causing agents out of their raw forms to be used in this way. So these things are a two pronged evil. They are warheads that are made for the purposes of destruction, and there has to be some kind of agent synthesized to be put into them, so that means that you have some kind of poison lying around somewhere as well. The poison can be used in any way that you wish. Warheads are the preferred method of the past, as they can inflict great damage. However, this seems to be changing. With the advancements in man's abilities to synthesize these diseases, they now can be used in many other ways. We are seeing one of them right now, as the mail is being used to spread anthrax. This is inefficient as hell if you want to really take people out. Anthrax is not a good disease to use, for it is easily treatable with a variety of antibiotics. It is just easy to come by, for it is used in all sorts of laboratories and shit, and the raw source of it is farm animals intestines, and there are a hell of a lot of those in America today, even with the shrinkage of farmland. This makes it easy for the nutcase on the corner to get and use like it has been used so far. The mail is an inefficient way to spread it too, for it is slow and you don't really expose that many people by using it. There is already the technology in place to irradiate the mailk like meats and vegetables are in the store, so any and all germs or biological agents would be destroyed. So, if you are looking to cause a lot of damage, the way that things are being done right now is not the way to do it. What you will spread is fear and paranoia, especially when you are amongst the first to do something like this. The reason that everyone's freaking out about all of this is that it has never been dealt with in America before. When the proper steps are taken to safeguard against it in the future, like the irradiating of the mail, then it will not cause such widespread panic if it does happen again. That is why I feel that this current wave of powdered shit is not the work of bin Laden and his cohorts, but of a basic disturbed mind right here at home in America. Yes, there is a story out about bin Laden buying some anthrax shit for like $11,000, but for him that is like spending a nickel. He could very well have just looked into it and seen that it was not practical, so he gave it up and only invested a pittance in doing so. The disturbed man that craves attention so is the most likely culprit. Since he got in on this first, he does indeed get to spread terror through biological agents.
The disturbed man is a mere amateur though, when you look at what can
really be done with this bio-terrorism shit. The government released a
lost of diseases that it feels are candidates for this. The one that I
cannot understand on this list is smallpox. Yes, it was once the
deadliest disease known to man, but it is also the only one that he has
eradicated from the face of the Earth. There are only two cultures left
of smallpox on the planet. One is at the Centers For Disease Control in
Atlanta, Georgia, and the other is in Russia somewhere. These are two
of the most secure facilities on earth, made to withstand a nuclear
holocaust. The smallpox cultures are stored very deep inside them
guarded by armed guards and alarm after alarm as you have to go through
door after door to get near the room where the culture is encased in a
thick steel locked combination safe, guarded by still more infrared
sensors that trip yet more alarms, etc. It would be way fuckin' hard to
get at them, let alone go out and use them. I have still never heard of
man being able to accurately reproduce a disease of any kind, not even
the common cold, so I would figure that smallpox would be the same way.
So where that is going to come from is really unclear to me. The other
diseases are a different story. They have shit like Ebola and Bubonic
Plague, botulism, tuleremia, viral hemorrhagic fever, yellow fever,
hantaviruses, etc. on there. Now spreading any of them by using the
mail is not going to be efficient, whether it's now or when things
change, so you can rule that out. But there are many other ways to
spread these type of diseases without resorting to warheads. The most
efficient is to introduce them into the air and let them spread that
way, for that is one of the main ways that they do so in nature as it
is. Most of these diseases that are listed on the government's list can
be spread that way, especially bubonic plague and hantaviruses. In some
cases, you can do so by just letting some mouse turds disintegrate, for
they are big-time carriers of the plague virus and that is how it was
spread in the past. Disintegrated mouse shit crumbled into dust and was
made airborne by the air currents, and was inhaled by someone, who then
fell ill. This would also be the most efficient way to spread anthrax,
because it can be found in animal shit too. But the antibiotics can
neutralize anthrax, so that is not efficient. The same goes for the
plague, there are now antibiotics that neutralize that virus too. Same
for botulism too.
So what exactly does that leave? Shit like Ebola and other jungle diseases. As man pushes farther and farther into the rain forests and jungles of the world, he encounters new and terrible diseases. The climates in these places are perfect for bringing shit like this about. It never gets cold there, so a virus can theoretically never die out. It can just keep on mutating over and over again in that climate. Every time that it does, it becomes something worse. There are diseases in there that have been mutating for who knows how long. AIDS is the most famous disease to come to the civilized world from that route. Ebola and some of these hemorrhagic fevers are some real nasty shit. They kill and they kill quickly and efficiently. Man only has limited knowledge of them because he has only recently found out about them. Medicines for these things are in their infancy. They are contagious as all hell. Medical personnel have to wear those protective space suits to even go near people that have some of these things. This makes them ripe for bio-terrorism. If you find a way to let shit like this loose on the unsuspecting populace, you have the potential to kill scores of people. All that really needs to be done is for some sick, twisted motherfucker to find out how to efficiently use these things and go to it.
So how do you defend against this? By getting ready now so that you cannot be taken by surprise in the future with this shit. America needs to start to familiarize itself with these new jungle diseases right away. The reason that some of the other agents like the plague have ben neutralized is because man saw so much of them and became familiar with them and developed sufficient things to neutralize them. If he goes to work right now on finding out everything that he can about these new agents, that is step one. The problem is that do accurately study them, you have to go to places like broken down Third World unstable countries where the diseases are. Insurrection and violence are rampant, as are corruption and crime. This makes it kind of hard to study accurately, because you have poor facilities to begin with and the threat of violence and death constantly hanging over you, it makes it difficult to do good work. That slows the progress of understanding these diseases greatly. This needs to be rectified. First World scientists need to have full access to these Third World countries where this is happening before some evil fuck takes advantage of the chaos in these countries and finds a way to efficiently remove the disease cultures and bring them to the First World and wreak havoc with them. Information must be shared as well. In the past in America, you had beauracratic bullshit getting in the way of proper information sharing about diseases. That is how some of them got out of hand. If it wasn't proper information sharing within America, it was improper sharing with other countries. This let diseases get around better than they should have. With proper information sharing, everyone would be equally prepared for whatever needed to be dealt with. You wouldn't have to bring in far-away experts in a crisis to advise and guide you on what to do, you'd have then right there. For a bio-terror scenario, this is critical. You can stop the spread of a disease if you have everyone prepared for it in advance, and that is the main way to stop bio-terrorism, because it is just something that relies totally on the domino effect. You get a few people sick at first, and then they spread the disease to others, and so on, and that is how it gets out of hand and deadly. These jungle diseases are highly contagious and would work very well for this purpose. With the proper medicines and training, this could be stopped in its tracks.
I do indeed believe that bio-terrorism
is a real thing to be worried about in the 21st century, just as
nuclear holocaust was a thing to be worried about in the past. The
difference between the two is that one could only be done on a
wide-open, large scale, and the other can be done very surreptitously.
However, one is much easier to stop than the other. If you study
disease thoroughly and have what is needed to prevent and disarm it,
them bio-terrorism can be stopped very easily. The key is not to panic
and work together to find out the answers to what makes a disease tick.
If this course is followed, the bio-terrorism won't become the nuclear
shit of the new age. If it isn't , then mankind will be battling
something needlessly that he could have stopped right at the start.
This would be great for the terrorists of the future to use in order to
make a country have to fight a war on two separate fronts, thus
splitting their resources, and make their objectives easier to attain.
I think that this is the main benefit of bio-terrorism to the terrorist
scene. It can be easily stopped, and I certainly hope that it is.
