The trial itself is like something straight out of the Spanish Inquisition. The judges are these secret dudes that Saddam is not allowed to know. They are heavily protected by the Americans, and are given armed escorts to their homes in the heavily fortified Green Zone, and are looked after 24 hours a day so that no one can try and assassinate them. These judges have already questioned a lot of witnesses during what in America would be the pre-trial phase of the proceedings, while Saddam's Team of lawyers has largely been denied access to him for any reason. They said that was why they wanted the delay until next month, but they have asked for delays time and time again, and they are still never granted full access to their client. Saddam's Lawyers will be lucky to say hi to him between now and November 28th, as they won't be allowed to meet with him to prepare a defense. Meanwhile, the prosecutors will spend that time interviewing more witnesses against Saddam in secret, closed proceedings, ensuring that he has zero chance of any kind of a fair trial. So, Saddam has no choice except to turn the trial into a huge show, and he did that yesterday, by challenging the authority of the judges and saying that he was still the President of Iraq, and having a hissy fit when the Pigs came to lead him away and grabbed him by the arms, and generally ranted and raved the whole time he was there. That was merely Act One of a plan that Saddam has obviously thought out carefully as he sits in that cell of his all alone, a plan to cause America the worst possible embarrassment and humiliation. That is all that Saddam can possibly be thinking of, as he was already offered his freedom in exchange for just going into exile, an exile that would have been graciously funded by the American taxpayers and Saddam could have lived happily ever after. However, he said no to that plan, greatly pissing off Washington. He said that he wanted to go on trial because he would prove that he was innocent of all charges brought against him, which is exactly what R Kelly is saying and what Michael Jackson said. In Jackson's case, he was not found guilty, and Kelly has had numerous charges against him thrown out, but Saddam is another story, he has no chance of beating any rap against him at all. Yet, he insists that he can, and that is also part of the show. He seems to have watched a few American legal shows while he was President and knows that the American court system is based around theater as much as it is based around law, because as one of the trials of the 20th century told us, the OJ Simpson trial, the lawyer that presents the most flamboyant and flashy case can win over one based in evidence, because theatrics are an essential part of the American legal system.
However, Saddam is not trying to be found not guilty in his trial, despite what he says otherwise, he knows that he has absolute zero chance of that happening, that it is a mere formality that he will be found guilty and sentenced to death. What he wants to do is tell us a story, a story of how Saddam came to be the bad guy of earth. As we all know, that story is full of help from the USA, who helped Saddam stay in power along about 1979, when the Iranians were fucking with America, washington helped Saddam start war with the Iranians so they could not fuck with America anymore. He plans on telling us all about that, and he has some lawyers that can help with that one, namely Ramsey Clark, a dude that was Attorney general of the USA under Jimmy Carter, the top Pig in America, and he was in on the meeting and strategy sessions concerning Saddam and Iraq and probably has documents and the like to prove all of that. This will be very embarrassing to Washington at a time where they can least afford it. The situation in Iraq is trying the America people' s patience more than a little bit, and hearing how America essentially set itself up for all that happened afterwards will be bad for the White House indeed. However, America did not do so good by making these particular charges the first ones that Saddam faces. Because the events in question here happened in 1982, when Saddam was very much in the good graces of Washington, during the height of the Iran-Iraq war, that can be used to show how America is only trying Saddam for things that they themselves helped the dude do and the charges are therefore baseless. Saddam wants it known that he was hand in hand with America for a lot of years, and many of the things that Washington says that has done wrong were things that they gave their seal of approval to or helped outright. Saddam wants to paint himself as merely a puppet of America, that is, until August 2, 1990, when they turned on him for no good reason and have been after him ever since. However, that is not quite true, since he was around Iraqi politics long before America really came to him, they only came to him because he had managed to get himself into the top spot, not because they put him there to begin with, like he says. It is true that he had many dealings with America for a long time and that Washington helped him do a lot of shit. However, he is hardly a puppet like the dudes running Iraq now are, Saddam got himself to where he was before America came along. However, he will forget that part, and try to tell sordid tales about America and its international dealings and how they crated everything they fight against now. The problem with that is that he won't Be telling a story that has not been told and re-told many times before, as everyone knows that Washington's Foreign policies lead to disaster for America time and time again. But that won't stop Saddam from trying, as his immense ego demands that he do this, I mean, the dumbfuck turned down an offer of freedom and immunity just because he wanted to go public and tell these stories that he thinks will cause problems for Washington. So it is just his ego that has him standing trial, and the dude is about to find out that his ego will not protect or save him now. He probably knows that and just does not care anymore. That seemed to be the case yesterday, and it will probably be the case on November 28th or whenever the trial resumes.
America wishes that the trial would never resume, that's Why they agreed to that long delay until next month, they do not want Saddam spouting his stories, because even though his stories will be a lot of bullshit and hyperbole, they will be very spectacular and lurid and sexy, and the media will go wild when they hear that shit and make a huge deal of these stories and that's what will cause problems for Washington, so they just want this trial to go away and never start at all. Yesterday was bad enough, they don't want any more of that shit. However, that is not about to happen. Saddam is far more hale and hearty than previously thought and is going to live to stand trial. It cannot be postponed indefinetly, because then it gets to be a bad PR scene for America and more trouble than its worth. So what will probably happen is that the pace of this trial will suddenly pick up, if not on November 28th, then shortly afterwards, because by then America will have made its last offer to Saddam. They surely have another one left that is a modification of the last one that Saddam turned down, and will present it to him either late this year or early next year. It will be an even sweeter deal than the last one, I am sure that the exile package that America will offer him will make the exile that Idi Amin had look like hard times, and that was about as cushy an exile as any despot has ever had. But America has an even better one for Saddam and will come to him with it soon, once they get it finalized. If he says no, as he probably will, because Saddam is a raging egomaniac and severe dumbshit, America will have no choice except to go through with the trial. What they will do is make it the tribunal that it is modeled after, and have the verdict be reached swiftly and surely by the secret judges. Every attempt will be made to limit Saddam's theatrics, he may even be barred from court after a while. There are no rules or anything binding these proceedings against him, so America can do whatever it wants during this sham trial. They will use that advantage big time and make sure that the expected outcome is reached and Saddam is found guilty. Then, the execution phase of the proceedings begins, and Saddam will be fucking lucky if that does not occur right after the verdict is reached, but it wil occur shortly afterwards. The appeal process will be severely limited, if not thrown out altogether, and the sentence will be carried out as per judicial order. That will be how America counters the shit that Saddam and Ramsey Clark and the like bring up, by making Saddam's Execution the Event Of The Century, maybe even having it on pay-per-view to attract revenue. It will be a huge event, and the lessons that America says that Saddam was taught here will be rammed into everyone's mind over and over again. His execution will be the final act of the show that started yesterday, and it will be a grand finale indeed. Washington will be very angry that Saddam flat out refused their offers of exile and went and embarrassed them in court like that, and be looking to show him who is boss. Saddam must know this, he is not that stupid, and he may also have a plan here. If he is executed, as he surely will be, he probably thinks that he will be remembered as some kind of martyr that dies for the noble cause of Allah or some such shit. That is what I think he is after, because a wild pipe dream like that is about all the dude has left. However, if he was able to, he'd find out tha he was sadly mistaken about that, as he will not be remembered as any kind of a martyr by the Muslims, but as a pain in their ass that got the West all pissed off at them and made them invade. Saddam will be forgotten about as soon as he is executed, his dead body given to his one daughter for a burial that will surely be a huge circus, as the daughter tries politicking everyone to remember her old man as a martyr, but it wil be the last hurrah surrounding Saddam as he will be forgotten as soon as the party is over. His daughter will be the one in exile, because no one will give a fuck about her either, and the whole Saddam Hussein era in the Middle East will finally end, and end the only way that it could have possibly ended, and we saw the beginning of that sad end yesterday. Saddam will surely get what he deserves, as he is guilty of virtually all of these charges, regardless of who helped or supported him, he was the one that perpetrated the acts and is therefore responsible for them. The saddest part will be that men like him should never be allowed to become anything in life because this is what occurs when they do, horrible sequences of things that go on year after year and then built up into major catastrophes that impact untold numbers of people and then the fallout from al of that has to happen. Yes, Saddam is guilty, but so are so may others for aiding and abetting his evil ways, and they need to take heed here and not do that shit again, but they won't, as they never learn because they don't care to, as long as there are guys like Saddam around to take the ultimate fall, they'll keep right on doing what they do best, and that's destroy society.
