October 17, 2008- The Pre-Determined Outcome

One of the more popular forms of entertainment in America these days seems to be professional wrestling. Even in these hard economic times, professional wrestling is not hurting for money that badly at all, even a murder scandal involving one of the major stars in the business did not derail the money express that is that industry. People loove it and are not shy about admitting it either, they pony up the money to see it no matter what the economic times are in America. They go becasue they love to see the matches, to see their heroes fight the villans and such, and one thing that pisses off wrestlers and wrestling fans alike is for someone to call it all "fake." The industry vehemently denies that it is fake, but anyone with a brain can see that the outocmes of these things are not exactly brought about by athletic efforts like they say that they are, but by scripts and plot lines and such. So wrestling covers itself on that one by sayiing that they are not "fake" but that they have "pre-determined outcomes", which sounds a lot classier. Many people are satisfied with that and go on loving professional wrestling no matter what others may think, andf the industry rolls on unabated. This is a fine scenario for something like professional wrestling, because that industry is part of the entertainment industry, which is not about real life at all, but about spinning fantasies and making lots and lots and lots of money for Mr. Businessman. That works very well in that world and thgat is why the whole scene there is set up that way. The entire entertainment industry is all about pre-determined outcomes, because that is what the people want from them, and they are in the business of giving the people what they want, so they do. In a world that has zero to do with reality of any kind like the entertainment industry, pre-determined outcomes are a goldmine and what the industry revolves around. However, in real life, these pre-determined outcomes are not so easy to come by, as America has found out with the war in Iraq and such these last few years, the outcomes of these things are always up in the air and far from determined in any way. That is because important and real life things like wars and society and such are not part of the entertainment industry, no matter how hard they may try to be, so thei routcomes cannot be pre-determined no matter how hard you try. The Bush Administration has found this out the hard way in Iraq, because they thought that they would just come busting in there and that the Iraqis would just lay down and surrender and/or die, and essentialy told the American people that this was the pre-determined outcome of it all, but they ended up finding out that Iraq was not the WWE, that there was no Vince Mc Mahon around to broker deals and write scripts, and Iraq has gone very differently that the outcome that Washington was sure that they had in the bag when they started this all. They have seen that there are no pre-determined outcomes in real life. no matter how much they want one, that is what the entertainment industry is for. However, many people do not seem to feel that this is true anymore in this age of 24/7 entertainment everywhere you go, that you can take entertainment everywhere at all times, and that means that you can take the pre-determined outcomes that the entertainment industry gives you anywhere too, and make them part of real life. There seem to be many people in America that are hell-bent to make this a reality, because they do not like life without pre-determined outcomes, and the American media, a part of that entertainment industry, has been awfully obliging to them on that one.

Right now, America is in the homestretch of perhaps the most important Presidential election since the Civil War days. Barck Obama and John Mc Cain are battling it out to see who has the dubious honor of following George W. Bush in the Oval Office, and whichever of these men win is sure to change the world profoundly in some way, the times that we are in make that a pretty easy thing for an American President to do. This election has been the hot topic in America all year long, and we are now just days away from finding out just who is going to emerge victorious, but, if you listen to the American media, that outcome seems to have been pre-determined WWE style. They are not treating Election Day like it is going to be a day of decision or anything, but like it is going to be Coronation Day for Barack Obama. Every day now, you are hearing story after story about how Obama is widening his lead over Mc Cain to double digits, and how the Mc cain camp is getting increasingly desperate and such, and how even Sarah Palin is not going  to make any difference here, as the outcome has been determined, and Obama has won. Most of the talk on the endles political shows on TV now seems to be centered around how an Obama Administration is going to handle this and that and if America is really ready for a "black" President. John Mc Cain is increasingly being treated like some kind of pest that knows that he has no chance at all of winning and should just fold his tent up, send Palin back to Alaska, and call it a day and join the others in the Obama victory celebrations. celebrities and pundits all across America are already starting to crow about how the mighty Obama is a sure thing, none other than Louis Farrakhan of the Nation Of Islam has said that the "Messiah is speaking" and that America is listening to him, black comedians are already starting to work Obama into their acts, and late-night talk show hosts across America are already starting to act like he is the next President and Mc Cain is just some old dude that has zero chances. The closer that we get to Election Day, we are not hearing about the exciting finish of this endless race, we are only hearing about how the outcome has been pre-determined, WWE style, in Obama's favor. If you listen to them, November 4th is going to be like some kind of election in the former USSR, wgere everyone knew who was going to win, it wa sjust an exercise in ceremony to act like they are actually being elected by the people. Every election in the USSR had pre-determined outcomes, and Americans are being told every day now that this American one that has consumed so much time these last few years is a spre-determined as a Soviet one, that Barack Obama is like Stalin or Lenin, sure to be elected because the whole thing has been arranged in advance. Even Obama seems to have bought into this mentality (no surprise there), and is no longer really trying  to act like a Senator trying to get a promotion, but like a President in everything he says and does. His people are trying very hard to show him in exactly that light every day and that obliging American media are right there furthering the cause. As always, they are not questioning anything that Obama says or does, they are perpetrating the myth that the American elections on November 4th are as pre-determined as the results at Wrestlemania are. To hear them tell it, it is all over but the shouting, but no American eklection result is pore-determined like they say, so there has to be a reason why they are doing that, and as always, there is a convoluted one behind this all.

The main reasojn is that the American media wants Barack Obama to win this election very badly. They are anything but neutral here, and they do not want John Mc cain in the White House very badly, anhd the reasons behind that are not any liberal media bias or anything to do with politics, it all has to do with the business side of the American media. The fact is that an Obama Presidency will be great for them on many fronts. Obama is a creation for the American media by David Axelrod and he has crafted the perfect media  politician, one that never sees a camera or a recording device of any kind that he does not like, and always has something to say to them, and says it all with the panache of a Hollywood movie star, very media friendly indeed. That is a total about-face from the last eight years of the Bush Administration, one that treated the merdia with contempt and disrespect, they regarded tham as a nuisance that came with the terrotiry, and the attitudes of the whole Administration, especially that of President Bush, reflected that every day. Bush has treated the media with unmasked contempt and scorn from the very beginning, it has been nothing for him to stick one of his cutesy nicknames on one of them, like to make fun of one for wearing glasses and such, and there is like zero that these reporters can do about this because this is the President saying this, and if you squawk, you are just pulled off the White House beat right away. Bush has even gone so far with this shit as to make fun of a reporter that broke his leg while skiing and came back to work on crutches, and when you add to that the fact that this Adminjistration has consistently lied to the media and used them as propaganda ministers and such, you can see that the American media has fucking had enough of this sort of thing, and Mc cain promises more of the same sort of shit for them. Mc Cain has a volatile temper, and has been known to go off at the media for asking just the slightest thing and has no qualms about using the worst possible language when he goes on theser tirades as well. Media people in Arizona know this all too well, as many of them have been victims of Mc Cain tirades, and know hoiw that guy can be. He has been avoiding them on the campaign trail but everyone that knows him knows that it would be just a matter of time before America started seeing these explosions out of him against the media for asking what he perceived as something wrong. The American media does not want four more years at least of being berated by the President and his people all the time, and one thing that it is sure that Obama would never even think of doing is treating the media like that. No matter how mad they get him, he will never start calling them names and screaming at them and shit, and they know it, and that is what they want from the next Administration. They do not even care if an Obama Administration withheld information from them, misinformed them, or even did not tell them anything, because they know that he will do it in such a charming manner that they won't care, so they are willing to play along with him. They are doing that right now by making it seem that the election is all but said and done and that Mc Cain has no chance in hell. They have had enought iof being berated by Presidents and shit, and they are fighting back the only way that they know how, by distorting the facts and twisting the results to fit their agendas. They want Obama in so badly that they are willing to make the most important Presidential electin in over 100 years look like Monday Night Raw here at the end, they don't care, as long as they get what they want, and that is President Obama.

The reason that they are using this tactic is simple, the fact is that this election, like most others in America, is going to be decided by the undecided voters, the ones that so far have not come out and supported either candidate, the people that do not make up their minds who they are going to vote faor until they are at the polling place and such, and there are so many of these people in America that the election is far from a pre-determined thing for anyone. The reality is that things are much closer than the media are saying that they are, and that Obama is far from a sure thing. That freaks the media out no end and they are doing what they can to fight that, and that is trying to make those undecided voters think that the whole thing is a done deal, and that their votes are not going to matter, so they might as well stay home and watch the Food Channel or rent DVD's or whatever and not even bother with the election. They know that these people are not political junkies and fanatics about anything and that if they think that it is all over, they'll just ignore it and live with whatever results they get. They are only interested in coming out if they feel that their vote counts and such, and if you convince them otherwise, they'll just sit this one out. That favors Obama, because if his supporters constantly hear that he is to be anointed on November 4th, they'll make sure that they come out, becfause they'll see that their voices counted a lot and that they are on the winning side, so the Obama supporters will turn out in greater numbers due to this media coverage that we are seeing in the run-up to Election Day. The Mc cain supporters are going to see this too and they are supposed to think that they are on a sinking ship and that there is no way that Mc Cain can win or even come close to winning, so they might as well just head to the bar and drown their sorrows all day long instead of coming out to vote for a loser, that way, they can honestly say that they did not support a loser in 2008. So that is why the American media is trying to make everyone think that it is all over that there is not reason to go out and vote between now and Election Day and that will make it easier for Obama to win and make the media happy as hell. Since they are the media, they control this one, and they want this all to be a very one sided thing, so there is very little chance that we will see anything other than this sort of coverage increase as we go through the next two plus weeks. Mc Cain is not going to be able to do much to counter it either, because the only way that he could get attentiojn is to have a blowup or something, so that the media could portray it in a negative light and further the notion that the election is all but over now. They have had it woth being treated like shit by the Whire House, and they are sending them a message that shows that they have a lot more power than the politicians may thinbk, and that they shall hold that power a lot longer than any Presidential Administration as well, so you had betterc treat them right. George W. Bush does not care, he is headed into retirement, he got what he wanted out of the Media for eight years. Now the media wants to make sure that any President that wants to get something out of them has to at least be nice to them while he does it, niot be a high-handed, pretentious, pompous asshole like Bush, and they arev sending that mesaage not only to barack Obama and John Mc Cain, but every political fucker that decides that they want to try and be President, that if they abuse and fuck over the media, they shall pay for it, that it is a two-way street, that each side uses the other for what they want, and as long as any future Presidents play the game that way, they'll get along just fine and dandy.
