October 17, 2005- Exemptions

Exemptions are a funny thing sometimes. Usually, they are something that is supposed to help someone in one kind of endeavor or another, like tax exemptions that are supposed to save folks money and thus help the economy through increased spending and such, and when they are used that way, they are not bad things at all. Exemptions are needed in life, if for no other reason, to streamline things a bit, because there are circumstances that just do not apply to some people. For example, if you have a spotless driving record for like decades, there is no reason for you to not have an exemption from having to go to the local DMV and take tests and drive with an instructor and shit, because you have proven that you know what you are doing very well here. Or those affected so badly from the recent hurricanes being exempt from tax deadlines and such, because they need that to get back on their feet again. So in cases like that, exemptions are not bad at all. However, exemptions can be sort of an addicting thing, because they absolve you of responsibility in some way, and there are people that think that they deserve exemptions in every part of life. People like that are a real pain in the ass to society, because they go around demanding that they be exempt from this and that. Some sections of society have done very well with that, namely Mr. Businessman and organized religion, as they are exempt from a lot of things, like no Church pays taxes of any kind, and Mr. Businessman is exempt from the cumbersome rules that bind others simply because he is Mr. Businessman. So, their ideas of exemptions have not been positive at all, because what they are exempt from, ordinary people have to shoulder twice as much, their own responsibilities, and those of those deemed exempt. It is the ordinary American that makes up for the fact that every Church is exempt from taxes by paying more than he is supposed to. It is also the ordinary people that have to pay more taxes because Mr. Businessman is exempt from paying his fair share. However, these sections of society that consider themselves exempt from everything are not buying any of this, and have zero plans to change anything, and the ordinary people can just go fuck themselves. This idea of exemption is deeply entrenched in the American Government, much more so than it should be in a so called "free society." freedom entails responsibility to go along with it, and exemptions are all too often ways for some to avoid any responsibility. Washington has become expert at this, claiming exemptions from just about everything. That is not new either, Presidents have been claiming this for centuries now, Lincoln was an expert at it, as was Nixon, to name but two., Now, the claim of exemption is being heard across Washington and the rest of the world loud and clear once again. America Is claiming that it once again has an exemption from things that bind everyone else in the world. This has been going on ever since America became a world power, washington has claimed that they are exempt from most everything. All world commerce has been set up on a two tiered system, one for America, and one for the rest of the world. All world legal systems have been set up that way too, as has virtually every global agreement on any topic there is. The rest of the world has grown quite sick of this shit, but that has never stopped America from continuing to do it, and we have heard more of that lately.

There has been a resolution drafted around the world that deals with torture. It basically says that torture should be outlawed for any reason whatsoever, and even goes into painstaking detail describing what constitutes torture too. A lot of this has come about due to what has been going on in America's POW camps around the world, like the pictures of that nasty whore Lynddie England fucking with Iraqi prisoners, and the pictures of detainees smeared in shit and being beaten and tortured and shit to get information and so forth. That caused quite the stir worldwide and a resolution was drafted dealing with it. Nations got together and said that they would not do all this shit that consitiutes torture during wartime and so forth, that is, all the nations except one, and we all know who that is. Washington said no to this treaty, that they were exempt from it and would not sign it. This is the same shit that we have heard from them a lot these last few years, like when there was an agreement reached at Kyoto concerning pollution and global warming and such, America did not sign on to it, they said they were exempt because they did not like the treaty, because it fucked with Mr. Businessman, and washington would have none of that. Then there was the global treaty on war crimes and such, the creation of the world court. That was supposed to deal with tyrants and dictators and despots and be a way to bring them to international justice without war. You would think that America would love that shit to death, because they are always saying that they are the mortal enemy of tyrants and such, but America would not sign on to that treaty either. Once again, they claimed an exemption to it, saying that they were not bound by that court at all for anything. No matter how much pressure the rest of the world put on Washington, they would not change their minds on this at all. Now, we have this torture treaty, and we are hearing the same thing. But the difference here is that the pressure is on Washington not just from other countries, but from within as well. There are a lot of Seators and assorted Congressmen that back this treaty and think that America should sign on top it, most notably, Senator John Mc Cain, who was a POW in Vietnam and experienced torture. He has made an American version of this treaty, essentially like a bill, that President Bush is supposed to sign and that would make America a signatory to that treaty. I guess it is seen as some kind of face saving way for Washington to agree. However, Bush is saying fuck no to this, no matter who drafts it. He says that if this Mc cain bill gets to him, he will not sign it, and Bush is a President that has not vetoed one single thing that Congress has sent him since he came into office over five years ago. Every bill, no matter how fucked up or unfair it is, has been passed by Bush, but he draws the line at this torture shit.

He says that America, and his Administration specifically, have exemptions to this and can use whatever tactics they deem necessary when they deem them so. Even though the entire world has condemned the tactics that America Has used on the POW's In this war, Bush has done zero about it. He has defended or had his people defend every tactic no matter what they were. Yes, Lynndie England and the dude that knocked her up have been found guilty of shit and will be doing time, but they are mere scapegoats, dupes that will do the time for those that orchestrated the shit to start with. No one of any importance has been busted on that shit, and none ever will either. America likes these tactics they are using, even though they have not been proven to be effective at all. There has been no real information gleaned by any of this, all we have had is shit like that false alarm for the New York Subways last week, that a detainee made up just to be a jagoff to the Pigs. Other than that and other incidences like it, nothing has been gained through the torture of prisoners, yet Washington insists on doing it. Even their own people have told them that torturing prisoners has not done shit, but they continue to do so. Even the fact that this has damaged America's reputation worldwide like nothing else has in a long fucking time, it continues. Bush says that he reserves the right to do this if he so pleases, and no treaty or bill will tell him otherwise. He says that this is all wrapped up in "national security." The argument is that these people are POWs of an enemy nation, not criminals, and thus do not deserve the rights that criminals get under the legal system, where torture is outlawed, although some Pigs and criminals here in Chicago will tell you otherwise. Bush says that these people in the POW Camps are dangerous dudes, enemy fighters bent on destroying America in the name of Allah and such. When they do that, Bush says that means that they lose their rights altogether, and for that to happen, America must be exempt from all rules and regulations of any kind. That would include torture, and that's why he won't sign on to any treaty no matter what. He says that he has to do what he has to do, after all, he takes his orders straight from God, as we all know, and he can't be restrained by any rules at all. His Pentagon boys enthusiastically support him on that one, they echo his sentiments all the way down the line. Even the enlisted men that commit the torture against the detainees do not feel that the are doing anything wrong, and have defended the likes of Lynndie England and the other scapegoats as those that were merely following orders like a good soldier is supposed to do. They all support an exemption for America from this nasty treaty, as they also feel that it is not necessary for them. America goes on about how it is now the only superpower left on earth, and that means that so many are jealous of them and hate them so badly that they'll do anything to try and get America, September 11th, 2001 is then always brought up as an example, so America has to be able to do what they need to do to fight this shit off and treaties will just restrain that too much. Again, when the fact that these tactics have done no good at all so far, they are ignored and they are supposed to be allowed to be kept as a weapon that can be used if chosen, like atomic bombs, something else that America would not sign an international treaty on. Washington essentially says that they get to keep whatever they want, from atomic bombs to torture if they feel that they might need it someday. That is the rationale behind the refusals to sign on to any treaties at all. Washington says that this is because they need it for security, but that is bullshit and everyone knows it too.

America just wants to be able to do anything it wants whenever it wants anywhere in the world and no one can say shit about it either. They let no other country have anything close to such a privilege, not even close allies like England get to do what America does, it is for Washington and them alone. America just wants to be the iron fisted ruler of the world and be bound by no restraints in the actions. Bush likes that torture shit so because he gets off on the humiliation factor and such, just look at how many of these torture tactics that America has been using mirror shit like BDSM tactics and techniques. Washington is not humiliating and torturing these prisoners for any security needs, they are doing it to send a message to the rest of the world that you never cross America or else. Of course, this torture also dehumanizes these detainees in the minds of the people, and that makes it easier to go out and kill scores more of the Iraqis and have no one say anything about it. America just wants the entire fucking world to lay down and give itself up, and gets mad when it doesn't. Torture not only is a good way for America to get out its angers on innocent people and get away with it, but it shows the rest of the world what will happen to you if you don't get with the program. That Is supposed to incite fear in the minds of the world, but what it really shows is American arrogance, and the little value that America and its government have for human life. It shows that people only have worth in America if they have monetary value, and tortured prisoners have a lot of that, America has to hire all these dudes to torture them, and in the military, that adds up to millions like everything does. So torturing these poor people is good business, and America does not seem to care if anyone knows that either. So they need their exemption from this treaty and bill so that this can continue. After all, how would it look for mighty Washington to be cuckolded and cowed by the rest of the world or its own politicians at home, that would show that they were not the almighty entity that they say that they are, and that is not cool for Washington. So It is quite important for Bush to stand his ground on this issue and not sign on to the treaty, because that would show that he is bound by human things, not just by the will of God like he claims. He does not care if the torture gets one piece of information ever, It sends a message, and it titillates him too. He knows that this piece of paper has been aimed directly at him due to what he has done, and if he signs on to it, it will be admitting that he was guilty, and George W, Bush never admits to any of that. America paints itself as a victim of terrorism, not a perpetrator of it, and signing that treaty is counter to that. The only way that it gets signed is if it is watered down significantly so that it is essentially meaningless, and Bush and his people are trying to get that done. They know how bad this looks to the people, and they know that signing some sort of bill will look real good. However, that bill has to be worth less than the paper it is printed on and not change a thing. Until that happens, and it surely will at some time, Bush shall refuse to sign anything and just keep stalling and stalling. Eventually, Senator Mc Cain will be persuaded to tone it down to meaninglessness, and there will be great fanfare as America "signs on" to the treaty against torture. However, nothing will change, no one wil tell the dudes at Guantanamo Bay or Abu Gharib that this has been done, and they shall continue to be routinely tortured every day for no reason at all. America just wants to be the world bully, a gigantic version of Danny Bonaduce, pushing around and intimidating everyone and insisting that no rules apply to them. That is their vision, nothing more. Torture is a way to get that, so America has no intention of giving that up anytime soon or at all, and Bush knows that, and will stand firm until he gets it. He feels that God wants America to be His servant on earth, and that means that no rules can apply to them, just the rules of God, whatever those are. He is hopelessly lost in a megalomaniacal fantasy world, as are so many others in Washington, and does not care about reality anymore. He does not care what people think of him and his country, because he feels that soon they will all be subjects to that country, and have no choice or say in the matter anymore. That's why torture is so vitally important to Bush and Washington, they see it as something that has little value in the short term, but immense value in the long run, and they are looking at the big picture. No treaty or agreement of any kind shall stop these people from relentlessly pursuing this warped and twisted vision, and the world should know that by now, yet they keep trying and Washington keeps right on laughing their asses off at them every time.
