As always, Washington failed to take everything into consideration before they started this plan and the results show that. It is true that no one in Sadr City and these other strongholds of al-Zawahirihas a job or much of any money, and that is a big part of the reason why they follow him, but it is not the only one. These dudes hate America like all fuckin' hell, and that hatred grows with every day of the occupation. They feel that it is America's fault that they don't have jobs or a future to begin with, and that it is America that is the cause for everything bad in their lives, mainly because they are taught that from the time that they are infants by the likes of al-Zawahiri just for a situation like this. They are happy to take the money, and have been taking it as well, but they have not been anything close to straightforward about it. A lot of the guns that they have turned in are not the ones that they have been using against the Americans by and large, they are turning in old weapons, ones that are broken and the like, doing exactly what the gangbangers of America did when their local Pigs started this program with them, they used it as a place to get rid of their old unusable weapons, because guns are not the easiest things to dispose of once they outlive heir usefulness, they cannot just be thrown in the garbage can or recycling bin, and as a result, many weapons just lie around gathering dust once they are no good anymore, and these types of programs like the one The Pentagon started are very useful for disposing of these things, and al Zawahiri's boys have dome just that. They have gotten together all of their old guns and weapons and mixed in one or two new ones and gone and turned them all in to the Americans, and gotten some good money (for them) from it. They have not come forward with their main arsenal shit, their missile launchers and their heavy machine guns and the like, they held those back unless they were hopelessly broken. Then, they have taken the money that America has paid them for their weapons that they have turned in, and they have gone and bought themselves brand new, more powerful and sophisticated weapons to use against the American forces. Since another problem these dudes face is the fact that there is not a whole lot to buy even if you have money where they live, they have just been spending their money on the most available commodity, weapons. There are more guns and weapons floating around in Iraq now than there are in all of America, so it is very easy to buy state of the art weapons over there, and that is what the insurgents have been doing with that American taxpayer money that the Pentagon has so generously been giving them.
That is about to have a very chilling effect for the American troops over there, as these new weapons are about to be turned directly on them and used to the fullest. The insurgents can scarcely believe their good fortune, as America is giving them the money to get the weapons that they need to kill them, and rest assured that al-Zawahiri is laughing all the way. He has issued statements that cryptically suggest that he is telling his followers to accept America's money and give up their arms and accept the American presence and so forth, but that is all bullshit of the highest order. What America has given him is not only the finances to better arm his men, but a break in hostilities that he and his men desperately need to regroup and get back together, because they have been facing some punishing American assaults lately and these have caused many casualties on their side, and they need to get some new fighters and equipment and strategy and so forth, and that is impossible to do when America is blasting the living shit out of you day and night, so al -Zawahiri realized that if he gave the illusion of taking Washington up on their offer, that this would buy him much-needed time. He and his men needed these newer weapons but they had no way to go buy them as all of their time was spent in battle. Now, since America is sitting back and collecting weapons instead of attacking every day, he has that time and is making the most of it in every way. He is getting the necessary weapons and other supplies that will be needed to continue to wage this war, the new troops that he needs for it too, and he is planning his strategy for the next phase of the war. There is no way that he is giving in to the Americans because he has no need to, he is not the one out there fighting, the poor boys do that for him, he sits back and makes himself into a worldwide big-shot over it all. However, he has seen the perfect opportunity for a time-out, and another way to fool the Americans. He wants to make it look as if he does not have firm control over his forces, that they will come running for any money offered them to lay down their arms and sell his ass out in a New York minute. He knows that is what Washington thinks about him anyway, so he is just playing to their pre-conceived notions and massive egos. He wants to look like a young Islamic Holy Man that has gotten carried away with himself and bitten off way more than he can chew in taking on America. He is trying to make himself look like some kind of pussy-boy that is thinking of giving it up because he is outmanned and overpowered by the USA. That gives Washington chances to get all pompous and brag about how they are indeed successful in Iraq and this all proves it and make their usual pompous claims. Mr. Al-Zawahiri plays to that all by sending those poor illiterate dudes that he is just using to the Pentagon collection centers to turn in these old guns and get a pittance from America. Meanwhile, he is training a whole new generation of troops, ones that will be far more disciplined and professional than the ones that America has already killed and equipped with much better weaponry as well. He knows that there is no reason to try anything before November 2nd rolls around, because he does not know exactly who will be leading America after that date, so he cannot plan exact strategy, so he will milk this program for all its worth because he probably has to draw up two different battle plans, one for the eventuality that either candidate becomes President. He wants to be ready to roll if Kerry wins, so now is the time to make the plans, not then, and he also has to be prepared for Bush to continue on as President, because he knows that will mean that things will be heating up right after November 2nd and he has to be ready for that as well. So he sends his lackeys to surrender useless armaments to America in exchange for money that he tells them to use to buy newer weapons while he gets a battle plan ready and gets it together for the next phase of the war. That is all that is coming out of the Pentagon's plan, not the bullshit and nonsense that they put in their propaganda press releases.
That suits America fine, because this approach is very good for making people money, and that is their first concern. However, these short-sighted, Selfish fuckers do not realize what this is all starting to mean. They do not seem to care that the outcome of all of this will surely be a resumption in hostilities and that those hostilities will be the most hostile of all at a new level, a level that will cost America scores of lives. Washington is essentially giving their enemy a chance to regroup and re-arm themselves and get ready to attack America like never before. The Pentagon is lying to everyone as always, telling their soldiers that this is a victory for them when in fact it is a prelude to disaster for them, a disaster that they shall pay for with their lives. While the fat-cats sit back and get richer, the average soldier is going to get maimed and killed by al-Zawahiri's men when the fighting resumes, and that fat-cats do not seem to care. America is fighting this war as purely a money making device, not as a n actual war, because every strategy that they employ seems to be another mistake and everything that they do seems to be fucked up and wrong. Surely, an institution like The Pentagon can do better than that, what with the resources that they have on hand, but they do not do better because it is better for someone's Bank accounts if they do otherwise. The likes of al-Zawahiri have realized this and are fighting accordingly. Even though the war makes a lot of money for people over on that side as well, the Muslims are not necessarily fighting to make money like America is, they are fighting a war to win it, to drive the invaders and infidels out of their lands and lives. They are using every tactic that the Pentagon comes up with to achieve that goal. Washington is obliging them too, with programs like this one that they are employing now, giving them everything that they need. Eventually, that is sure to come back to bite America squarely on the ass, and disaster will result. These guys like al Zawahiri are not the "dead-enders" that Washington called them back in the beginning, they are fast becoming a professional fighting force with all the accoutrements. If America keeps on giving them chance after chance to acquire the time and supplies that they need to escalate the battles, eventually they will become the equal of America on the battlefield. Mr. Businessman has not even thought of such a thing, as he is incapable of doing that anyway, all he sees is his distorted view of the world. He has not realized that he is sowing the seeds of his own downfall and destruction through policies like these. Al-zawahiri and his cronies have realized it though, and that is what gives them the confidence to continue with what America says is an unwinnable war for them. As long as Washington continues to use half-assed policies like this weapons exchange thing, they are helping the enemy out more than they are enriching Mr. Businessman, that has just not become apparent yet, and by the time that it does, the only question will be is it too late. America thinks that this shit succeeds because they get very short term gains by it, like the cessation in hostilities by al-Zawahiri's men and the enriching of Mr. Businessman,but it always fails because it continues to embolden and strengthen the enemy forces and make them more confident that they do indeed have a chance to win this war. That is why these policies are mistakes after mistakes every time, and this time is no different. This is another mistake that will surely backfire on America, and lead to even worse things from this war. America seems to think that they can make a continual stream of mistakes and still come away with victory in this war because they are so lost in their own egos and megalomaniacal fantasies,and soon, reality shall intrude upon those fantasies, and that reality will be as unpleasant as they come for Washington, and it will eventually lead to a disaster every bit as bad as September 11th, 2001 was.
