October 5, 2008- The Non-Existent Man
Now that we are finally coming down to the
homestretch in this endless Presidential race of 2008, it seems that
the early favorite, Barack Obama, has pulled back into the lead, the
latest polls all seem to agree that he has gotten back the lead that he
fumbled away over the summer and is now closer than ever to his dream,
occupying the Oval Office come next January. The recent economic
problems have all but handed it to the guy, Bush just had to remind the
people of what an asshole he is one last time, reminding them to punish
the republican Party for ever letting this fucker be their candidate,
and that means that John McCain is pretty much doomed come next month.
He is going to bear the brunt of the anger that Americans are going to
direct at Bushg, and that is not really a surprise, since Bush and Mc
Cain are political enemies fromk a longtime ago, Bush just loves
screwing the guy out of the White House as his last act of pettiness as
President. So since he has now done that, the election is Obama's to
lose more than ever, and the guy just has to not be a total fuckup
these last few weeks and he is in. Since his party says that they had
nothing to do with the economic mess, which is a total bald-faced lie
because they are as responsible for this as ther Republicans are,but
the important thing is that the American people believe that they had
nothing to do with it, and that gives Obama an advantage that is his to
lose. This is exactly how the dude wanted this all to play out all
along, it has been no secret that Obama is big on style, much more so
than substance, and if all he has to do is continue to promote the
image that he has had so carefully cultivated for him, that he'll win
handily, that is as easy as it gets for the dude. Lok for Obama to
start making himself lok more and moee Presidential as this month goes
on, and the lead grows, because it shall take a major gaffe by Obama to
blow this one, arrogance and conceit just won't do it alone, he will
have to fuck up royally to get that done. Obama is at the point where
he just has to break even between now and eledction day and he shall
win, Mc Cain and Palin will have to pull off the miracle of all time to
even come close to beating him, and despite what they may think, they
just do not have that in them, this year or any year. Mc Cain mjay have
the experience and also have a woman Vice-Presidential candidate in
Palin, but they are no match for the Obama juggernaut, never really
have been, because the Obama campaign has been a finely tuned machine
ever since this whole fucking thing started a few years ago, and that
machine sees the finish line ahead and is about to kick itself into
high gear so that Obama can easily coast across the finish line just
like he always planned it to be all along. That campaign is setting
standards that will be copied in Presidential campaigns for the rest of
this century, the ways that they are going about things are
revolutionary and innovative, and that has been a large part of why the
Cult Of Obama has been so successful this year and this campaign. Obama
stands to make history in more ways than just being the first mixed
race President in American history, he is making history by running a
campaign that has used tactics never before seen and used them more
successfully than any new tactics have ever been in political campaigns
going back to way the fuck back in the day in America. Those tactics
are going to get Obama into the White House, almost surely, and there
is one particulr reason that they have worked so well for Obama.
That reason is a single individual, David Axelrod, no, not
the dude that was with the Electric Prunes and wrote the Mass In F
Minor album, but this David Axelrod is a political consultant that has
worked in the Chicago area for decades now and been involved in many
politrical campaigns over the years. Lots of candidates runing for
various offices here in Chicagoland have used his services and gotten
themselves elected largely because of what he can do, so Obama was
steered to him to be his grandest project of all, creating a President
of the United Sattes, and a non-white one to boot. Barack Obama was the
perfect candidate for Axelrod to work with, someone with an insatiable
ego that wanted everything right away, whether he had the credentials
to do that or not. So what Axelrod has done is to create an image, a
vision of Barack Obama, as something that is above and beyond any other
political candidate in history, someone that is a Savior come to rescue
America and the world at this rough time. The image of Obama as this
Savior man has been trumpeted from on high by Axelrod and the American
media, and people are so captivated by it that they are not even
looking at the issue of Obama have little experience to be eminently
qualified to be President right now. Things like who Obama's friends
and associates have been over the years are glossed over, and
contradictory statements that he makes are dismessed and any mistakes
that he makes are ignored, all in favor of the promotion of the man as
this Savior figure come to rescue us all. This is a brilliant strategy
to use at a time like this, when America is more fucked up than they
have ever been for a long time, if ever, because the people are so
freaked out over what is going on that they are desperate enough to
believe in the image of a Savior that comes to save them all from ruin,
and Obama is more than willing to put himself in that spot. After all,
America has had almost eight years of a President that insists that he
talks to God directly all the time, and that God tells him what to do,
and that if you do not believe this, you are a traitor to America, so
it is not a far stretch from that to paint someone as the antithesis of
that, and that is what Axelrod has done with Obama. People just ignore
the fact that the man has done virtualy nothing except run for
President his entire career, never sticking around any level of the
political systrem very long because it was not good enough for him, and
not getting all that much in the way of hands-on experience doing that.
Axelrod had to create an image for Obama that was as far away from that
reality as possible, because if the people saw that reality clearly,
they would not believe that Obama was what he says that he is, and not
support him. If you create this image of a Savior that did what he did
because he had to get busy saving the people right away, and to do
that, he had to be at the top level as soon as possible, so he just did
not have time for these other jobs much, you make that all sound
logical to a frightened public that just does not understand what the
fuck is going on anymore. You take the election and turn it away from
issues and experience and shit and make it all about images and show,
and that favors a man that has never done anything else than that his
whole life, and you hook that man up with a genius like Axelrod, and
you have this so far unstoppable juggernaut that looks to be sweeping
its way into the White House in a little less than a month now, and
David Axelrod is singlehandedly responsible for that, so Obama is
indeed looking like his greatest project and greatest victory ever.
The point behind all of this is to make sure that when
Election Day finally comes, that the American electorate will vote
based on the image of Obama that Axelrod has so carefully crafted
instead of looking at Obama the real man, the politician, the activist,
and so forth, and deciding based on that. This is why Axelrod is going
tomake sure that nothing except the image Obama shows his face this
next month, they have already taken steps like ensuring that every word
that the man says is scripted beforehand, so there is no ad libbing at
all by the candidate, putting the final touches on the image that they
are sure will ensure victory for them in November. So many people are
so enamoured and fooled by that image that they are sure to support
Obama next month, and that is all that Axelrod has wanted to do right
now. Surely, he has plans galore for what he wants to do with the image
of Obama as President, but the first order of busienss is to make sure
that they get in there to begin with, and that is what the next month
is all about. No candidate in history has ever been packaged and sold
to the American people like Obama, and the selling job is almost done
now, just the last touches remain. All that matters is that the voters
take the idealized image of Obama as savior into the polling places
next month and beleive in that image for as long as it takes them to
cast their votes and finish their ballots. After that, they don't give
much of a fuck, because they ae ready to go into Phase Two of the Obama
inage campaign and what the people think does not really matter then.
Axelrod will come up with a way to make the people think what they want
them to think about Obama and just take it from there. Even if the
American people suddenly started demanding full accountability from
Obama and the campaign, it is too late for that, Obama's past is
shrouded in mystery and murkiness to the extent that nothing about his
past is truly clear, and by the time you would have figured it all out
and shit , Election Day would have come and gone already. The time to
dig intoi that shit was long ago, but Axelrod made sure that no one did
much of that by creating that image that awed everyone into reverence
and obedience. Anything that you might come up with now is going to
prove to be irrelevant, because the Obama machine can brush it all off
and such and stall it until after the election. You would have to come
up with something major like Obama was busted for something once and
did time for it or some such shit to derail him now, and Axelrod would
not have worked with the guy if there had been anything in his past
that would remotely become a scandal like that, so you know that is not
going to happen. The American people are going to go into the polls
next month voting on an idealized image of a man that was fed to them
incessantly by his machine instead of voting on what this man has
really done and accomplished in his life instead of what his machine
says he did and accomplished. That's the only way that the guy can beat
Mc Cain or anybody else as well, and that was why he went to Axelrod to
craft his campaign, becauase Axelrod is not an issues guy, he is an
image guy, and all that Obama has ever had is image, so he needed an
expert on how to maximize that and he sure got it. In less than a
month, Axelrod gets to see if his masterpiece is successful or not, and
signs all seem to point to it being so, and that means that a
non-existent man will be elected President, an image elected over
issues and experience.
However, there is another side to this all, and that is
the question of whether what Obama and Axelrod are doing is really all
that different than what political candidates have been doing for
centuries now? Every candidate, including John Mc Cain, hires a dude
like Axelrod to be a point man in the campaign, to sell him to the
American public as President. None of these dudes are issues men, they
are all image men like Axelrod, and they all have the same goal in
mind, to make their candidate look as good as possible to the American
people on Election Day. There has never been a Presidential candidate,
going all the way back to George Washington, who has not used selling
of an image as a large part of their campaign. No political candidate
wants to run solely based on record, despite what they say, because
every politician's record is contradictory, that is the nature of it
all, so there is always something there for opponents to pick out and
make an issue out of, so you need image men to smooth all of that
over and shit. The only real difference with Axelrod and Obama is the
fact that they are the most successful at it since the days of Abraham
Lincoln, who also relied heavily on image men to get elected, and like
Lincoln, Obama is changing the rules of campaigning by doing things
revolutionary style like he has. John Mc Cain probably wishes that he
had an image man half as good as David Axelrod is, because that seems
to be the way that Presidential campaigns are being contested these
days, with dueling images being as important, maybe more so, than
dueling issues. A lot of that is because the American public these days
is obsessed with celebrities and shit, and The President is one of the
biggest celebrities in America, so many Americans are starting to look
at it all as electing a celebrity instead of a politician, sort of like
voting on American Idol or one of those kind of TV shows. Axelrod saw
that and jumped on it and it looks like he has hit on a winner here. If
he is successful at this, look for future candidates to put far more
emphasis on image over issues, because if that is what the American
people want, that is what the American politicians are supposed to give
them, so rest assured that they will, because they are all going to
want to follow in Obama's footsteps by being successful like he is, so
that is how Obama has changed the Presidential election system totally.
If he wins, he would not only be the first mixed-race President, but
possibly the first totally non-existent man to get elected, a man that
got in purely on style and not on substance at all. That is eminently
appealing to all politicians, because it plays into the fact that none
of them are for real anyway, they are all fakes and frauds, and if they
get to concentrate on image instead of substance from now on, that
means that they have to worry even less about being discovered and
such, making it easier for them to do their thing. So totally
non-existent men and women are sure to be the politicians of choice in
America as the 21st Century moves along, because unless Obama totally
fucks this all up somewhere, he has set a new standard for politics, a
standard that they all accept very well regardless of party
affliations, because it is a lower standard than ever, and politicians
are very good about accepting the lowest of standards, and this onhe is
about as low as they go. That will be the first immediate part of
Obama's legacy, the lowering of these standards to new all-time lows,
and thgat wil be the "change" and "hope" that the man is going to bring
America, not the bullshit that Axelrod writes for him to say to the
American people.
