Washington and their think-tanks are acting horrified by this, saying that it is proof of what they have been saying all along about these guys, that they are the epitome of evil and will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. Never mind that what they are espousing is just having their side do exactly what America has been doing to them, Washington still says that this proves that they are evil incarnate and must be dealt with accordingly. Far from horrifying Washington, this all excites them a great deal. For al-Zawahiri's saying this plays right into Washington's hands more than he will ever know. Because if the young Muslims heed his call and start to do pre-emptive shit of their own, that gives America yet more excuses to go pre-emptive in their own right and continue with the tactics that they have employed thus far in the war. No matter how much Washington says that they abhor the loss of life and destruction that this war is bringing to so many, they really love that shit to death. America likes bombing the shit out of people and just annihilating as many perceived enemies as it can, because they think that this projects an image of strength to the rest of the world. The American mentality is that if they just bomb the shit out of the insurgents like they did the other day, that the rest of the world will see that America is still the strongest nation on the planet, and they will be awed into submission, the fabled "shock and awe" tactics. Pre-emptive strikes are essential to this mentality, because America cannot always wait until they have been harassed first before responding, for the simple reason that this gives the enemies chances to harass America in the first place. The spectacular nature of the terror attacks of September 11th, 2001 have been more than enough for America to justify pre-emptive strikes up until recently. People have begun to realize that America has killed many times more people overseas than the ones that died on that day in New York and Washington and that we have been in a period of literal overkill for quite some time now, and they might not be as supportive of everything that the Pentagon does right now. That is far more terrifying to Washington than anything that bin Laden's boys could do, so a new excuse had to be found, and al-Zawahiri provided that the other day. What he said was actually gold to the American side, because that meant that they are now able to conduct business as usual ,and that means big bucks to many. So we can count on Washington to blow this shit that al-Zawahiri said way out of proportion because that will be good for propaganda purposes. Instead of being upset or dismayed by what he said, Washington probably had a party when they heard it because they knew that was just what the doctor ordered for them.
However, it is not what any doctor ordered for anyone else. What this all translates to is that many, many more civilians will end up getting maimed and killed by American forces before this is all over. The problem with Washington's "shock and awe" mentality is that it needs scapegoats to make it work. It odes no good to drop bombs unless you are destroying something, and it also does no good to shoot unless you are killing someone, and that is where the civilians come in. They are the ones that are supposed to die horrible deaths in the bombing raids and the other military actions, because then their deaths can be used as more propaganda for the war effort. Even though America will be the ones blasting in and killing the civilians with these pre-emptive strikes, they will be certain to blame the enemy for the inevitable pictures of dead children and destroyed towns and ruined lives. Washington will insist that they had to resort to these tactics because the enemy has left them no choice, they put these innocent people in harm's way and did not give a fuck about that, and that shows how evil they are, etc. However, the Muslim dudes will be able to use this carnage to their advantage in the propaganda game too. They will point to the fact that America just came blasting in and caused all this terrible shit and killed all these innocents. That will get the Muslims very angry, and make far too many of them listen to what the likes of al-Zawahiri and the other lying Holy Men say and join up to fight the Americans and use the pre-emptive strikes that al-Zawahiri is calling for against America. How that will manifest itself is anyone's guess, some think that it will mean that there will be another attack on the scale of September 11th 2001 sometime soon, and other think that it will manifest itself in increased sniper attacks and the like on the American military already in Iraq, like the attack on the convoy that had all those kids in it the other day. However it materializes, it will be something bad ,that is certain, for this is war, and there is never, ever anything good that happens in war. The poor civilians of both Iraq and America are the monkeys in the middle here, the ones caught between these two sides that are encouraging and using pre-emptive strikes against the other side. Their lives seem to be nothing more than propaganda for the madmen on either side that are behind this war, and it will be them that pay the price for this method, not the men behind it all. All that will ever come out of this pre-emptive strike shit is an endless game of tit for tat, where one side uses the tactics of the other side to justify accelerating things,and that leads to the other side accelerating things even further, and the whole fuckin' mess drags ever on. There does not seem to be that much strategy involved here, because this looks like an asinine way to fight and conduct a war if you are really serious about winning it. However, we have both sides in this conflict advocating these tactics and insisting that this is the way that they can not only fight, but win this war. They claim that it is all good battlefield tactics, and that anyone that criticizes it just does not know what the fuck they are talking about. In America, that translates into being called un-American and a traitor and a friend of the enemy and so forth. However, all this rhetoric is just there to try and mask the reality of the whole sordid affair, the fog of war as they like to refer to it.
We All know why so many in Washington want this war to go on forever and ever, because it is the biggest, baddest gravy train that they have ever seen, and they have all hopped right on it, and they don't want to get off anytime soon or at all really. The dudes that are getting so very, very rich from it all are not about to want it to stop, not until they have every fuckin' penny that there Is to be made out of this. However, the Islamic dudes do not want this war to end anytime soon, either. Some of them are getting pretty rich off of the war to be sure, but they are not getting as much money out of it as the Americans are. Their motives are more ego-centered. These islamic dudes have always been looked on as these sad fuckers that are out there in the middle of the godforsaken fuckin' desert somewhere, and that follow any fanatic that comes by because their lives are so fuckin' shitty. Once this War On Terror started, these cats became International celebrities right away. Everyone knows their names now and what they stand for, and many more people worldwide take them seriously now, and that is what they want. They are sick and tired of being looked at as some sun-baked goofballs whose agendas are not serious shit, and who should just be dismissed on the world stage. Now, they are the boogeymen that are capable of doing all sorts of unspeakable evil to everyone worldwide, and many are scared shitless of them. This has given them a much higher profile than they should ever have seeing that they come from these developing Third World countries, and they want that to continue. They want to be the world's badguys, in fact, they are thriving on that outlaw image that they have now. It makes many people from their part of the world look up to them and think that they are cool. Just the fact that they have all sports of money would never accomplish that, because in their part of the world, the disparity between the rich and the poor is so great that the poor fuckin' hate the rich, because they see them as the ones that are holding them down to begin with. So, these dues had to come up with something besides being rich to try and impress the Muslim people and score with the Muslim chicks. They have accomplished that by becoming Public Enemy Number One Worldwide. That is what impresses the impressionable Muslim youth that are forced to live in abject poverty by these same rich fuckers. They now see these people like al-Zawahiri as these heroes that are standing up to America and its might in the name of the poor oppressed Muslims like them. That means that there is no shortage of support for the Muslim cause in this war, and no shortage of kids that will sign up to fight and die for it either. This gives the Muslim Holy Men everything that they want, worldwide attention for themselves and their cause, whatever that may be, and hero status among their own people that helps them perpetuate the war for years to come. That is why al-Zawahiri said what he did, because he is every bit as anxious to see this war go on until he fuckin' dies of old age just like the people at the Pentagon are. The pre-emptive strike thing is perfect for this because is escalates everything more and more. When you have two sides that are employing this tactic in a war, it will become impossible to tell who really did what first, and that suits both sides just fine. The fact is that there was no one that actually struck a first blow in this war to start it, September 11th 2001 was a culmination of many things on both sides. So it is the ultimate in a vicious circle, the most vicious circle that you will ever find. No strike by either side now could really be called pre-emptive since everyone has lost track of who started what long ago. Yes, the propaganda meisters have been saying that they know, America says that the Muslims started it on September 11th 2001, and the Muslim Holy Men say that America started things a long time ago, but none of that can be conculsively proven, and innocent people die in the middle of it all, and that does not seem to bother anyone too much. The Muslim Holy Men say that they are men of Allah that respect human life, yet they advocate pre emptive strikes that they know will only bring retaliatory strikes that will kill many innocents. Washington says that they are the most compassionate, civilized people in the world, yet they too advocate these pre-emptive strikes that they know will result in more of the same too. Both sides are fuckin' liars co-dependent on one another to keep this ghastly war shit going just so they can satisfy their own selfish, short-sighted obsessions. Until someone gets in the middle of this thing and gets both sides to come to their senses, this war is going to go on for a long time. Thus far there has been no one that has been able to even start to try and do this, much to the delight of both sides in the conflict. All they want is for everything to escalate as much as it possibly can, without any regard for what they are doing or to whom they are doing it, and everything else be damned. Things like this are why war is such a horrible affair, the worst shit that man can come up with, because it never serves any purpose except to fuel evil people's obsessions at the expense of everyone else. This War On Terror is a classic example of this, and it has the potential to do more damage than any war has ever done before, all for the stupid reasons of a bunch of fucked-up selfish assholes in America and the Islamic world.
