The soldiers went after bin laden where they were told that he was, they went here and there in Afghanistan, allegedly just missing him by as little as a few minutes, so said the Pentagon. They went to some place called Tora Bora and thought that they had him there, the military went in with all guns blazing and wrecked the place and killed scores of people they said were sympathizers to bin Laden, but he was not among them, they came up with some story of him splitting the scene on a motorcycle or some such shit and taking money and bribing the locals to let him have a donkey so that he could hightail it to the mountains and thusly got away once again. Since that was still in 2001, Washington was confident that they would eventually corner the guy, after all, he was trapped in the mountains in Afghanistan/Pakistan/no man's country and it was just a matter of time before he was caught. He was supposed to be all fucked up with kidney disease and in need of dialysis and such, and there was just no way that he could keep this up forever. Washington parroted lines like that to the people day after day, week after week, month after month, and eventually year after year. Every so often you'd hear how Washington knew exactly where the dude was because he had called one of his wives on his cell phone or someone had squealed on him or whatever, and that they had him in their sites, and this time, it was going to be all over for him. Time after time, it never materialized, and them the stories that America knew where he was got less and less frequent. Even though the dude was supposedly still trapped in the mountains, it seemingly became harder and harder for America to find him. Then, the war in Iraq started, and these stories about bin Laden dried up altogether. He was brushed aside in favor of Saddam and Uday and Qusay Hussein and those jolly folks in Iraq. Bin Laden became a forgotten man it seemed, but Washington still said otherwise. They said that they were still after him but they said it with much less conviction. Eventually, they stopped saying it at all, and hoped that everyone would just forget about him now and concentrate on the likes of Iraq and Iran. However, some did not forget him, and they recently asked the Pentagon the same old question again about what are you doing to capture bin Laden, and the answer they got was a de facto admission that nothing was being done about it anymore and that it was no longer a priority for America, there were now more important things to worry about in Iraq and Iran and such and that was where the efforts were now concentrated. When you add to that the fact that Washington has hinted that they could very well be pulling the American troops out of Afghanistan after the whole election process is over in 2006, it looks as if the hunt for bin Laden is essentially over now. So, what was advertised as the reason that America went to war has been pushed aside in favor of consolidating power in Iraq and taking over in Iran, Syria, and who knows where the fuck else. That seems like a very strange way to fight a war, even this one, which has been as strange an experience as there ever has been. The question of why this is so begs to be answered and Washington is loathe to do that and for good reason too.
The main reason for this is because no matter how much President Bush or Washington in general or anyone else vilifies bin Laden, they do not think of him as a Villain at all, they think of him as a gift that God sent to them. They think that because what he did four years ago was the perfect excuse that America had been waiting for to crank up the war machine to high gear again, and grab all the billions and billions and even trillions of dollars that would flow through that machine. War is great business for many, and they had not had a war to profit off of in a decades and needed a quick fix. That was why the helped that fucking idiot George W. Bush become President, a job that he had no business even thinking about having, because they knew that the Bush family was into war and that they loved starting one whenever possible. They knew that George W. would be a mere puppet whose strings they pulled, because he had no other way of getting a job like that otherwise. So, Mr. Businessman and Mr. Warmonger did everything they could to get him elected, even stealing an election in 2000, because they knew that they could count on him to deliver war big time. It only took him about seven months to make good on that and he started the money train a flowing like never before. So many corporations have made untold millions these last four years and continue to make them today, and none of that would ever have been possible without the events of September 11th, 2001. So Osama bin Laden is a hero to them every bit as much as he is a hero to the impoverished and uneducated Muslims of the world, even more so perhaps, because he has gotten them into high clover for a long time to come. Even Mr. Businessman has a heart, and he would not ant to prosecute a dude that has done that much for him, so he has soft-pedaled the hunt for bin Laden big time. What Bush did was to send the troops into Afghanistan to oust the Taliban dudes, because they were not a friendly government to America and install a puppet government that would do anything and everything that Washington said and not interfere with the money flow. The Taliban just would not do that, so they had to go, and they were pushed out of Kabul and into the background so that Mr. Businessman could start cleaning up. There was never any intention of relly going after bin Laden, but Washington knew that they had to make It look otherwise, or else the American people would have gotten real pissed off. So they made it look good, going into the mountains and destroying Tora Bora and the like, but always coming up short. They did know where bin Laden was, that was not too hard to do, seeing as he was trapped in those mountains like that, they just always left him alone. Even though they knew that he really does hate America and did what he did out of hatred and madness, they had no intention of busting him, as that was his reward from them for doing such a great thing for them. Now, they do not want to even keep the charade going, they think that they have distracted the people enough so that they'll forget about bin Laden and that these same people are still so brainwashed and browbeaten that they will not question these tactics or else be labeled un-American and a traitor. As far as Mr. Businessman and Washington are concerned, the hunt for bin Laden can end up in the cold case files and not even Bill Kurtis and the wizards of his TV show could get that one solved. All they can do is to televise special episodes about bin Laden and the hunt for him and try to spice it up and grab big ratings for themselves and that's about it. Too many powerful people want the hunt to go to the cold case files, and that's where it is headed very quickly.
As for bin Laden himself, one wonders what he thinks about all of this. After all, he did do this shit out of hatred for both America and Islam, his two worst foes. Islam had him licked out of his homeland (Saudi Arabia) and made him live in caves like some kind of nomad, and America double crossed him back in the 1970's and 80's when they did not install him as the puppet Head of Afghanistan after the Soviets were driven out of there. So all he wanted to do was to start some kind of Armageddon style war between America And Islam so they could both destroy each other and satisfy his spiteful hate. He made no secret of this either, so everyone knew it, including Washington. For a guy with such a horrible plan for his life, bin Laden sure had an easy time putting it into action over the years. All throughout the 1990's. He kept escalating things, and no one did much about it either. He bombed embassies, US battleships, the works, and always got away with it too. Oh sure, Washington got on TV and said that he was an evil man and that he was doing this shit, and even bin Laden himself said that he was doing that shit, but still nothing happened to him. Time after time, he got away with murder, even when everyone knew he was responsible. It seems that he did not wonder why that was so, he thought that America was as much the stupid oafs as he said, and that they were just too dumb and bloated like the Soviets were to do anything about it. The man was just listening to his enormous ego, because that was not true at all. He was being allowed to do that shit so that he would eventually escalate to the point of no return, and that was September 11th 2001.We all saw the footage of bin Laden gloating over what he did that day and mocking America and such and he felt that he had scored the ultimate terrorist coup of all time. He kept making those videos saying that he was going to do something like that again,and thought that he was putting one over on America. However, he was also ready to run for his life, as he knew that Washington was going to come after him. He fully expected to be hunted down eventually, and not get out of it all alive, but he did not care about that, because he thought that he was now the greatest terrorist of all time and had hurt America like no one else had. But time kept going on, and he was not captured, sure the Americans did come into where he was at from time to time, but he always had ample warning that they were on their way and was able to split in time. That must have confused him plenty when it happened for the seventh or eighth time. Eventually, it must have dawned on him that Washington was not really trying to catch him and he them went and looked at why. He thought that what he started in 2001 was going to bleed America dry financially, like he had dome to the USSR, because he thought the costs of the war would bankrupt America. He did not count on Mr. Businessman making himself more wealthy than ever before off of all this, that was not what he wanted at all. However, it is what he got, and he seems to have changed his strategy accordingly. We do not hear so much from him anymore, no more videos or tapes promising further bloodshed in America, the dudes that do that shit now are these underlings that bin Laden has zero contact with, they are doing that shit either on their own or under someone else's Command, not bin Laden's. He just wants to shut the fuck up because he saw that the more he does, the more that it actually helps his enemies because they get rich off of it. If he tries another September 11th, he will just increase the money flow to the fat cats of America even more, and he wants them to die, not live rich and fat and happy. So he has slunk away into the mountainous night and wonders what to do next. He knows that is going to be relegated to the cold case files, and that pisses him off no end, because that is an affront to his monumental ego, he wants to be the bad guy, not some shit on a Bill Kurtis TV show. That is how America is fucking him over as well as making themselves rich at the same time, and he knows that now, but it is way the fuck too late to do anything about it. The genie is out of the bottle and is not going back in at all. Bin Laden has to live with the fact that he is not the worst scourge that America has ever seen, but the man that made the super rich the mega rich, and for that they thank him plenty. The fact that he has murdered thousands is not relevant here, that is just looked on as an Unfortunate cost of business. So that's why Osama bin Laden will join the ranks of the cold case Files and never be brought to justice or anything else. He'll just live out his Days in the mountains and die a bitter, hateful man, just like he lived, and Mr. American Businessman will give thanks for Osama every day, as he was the ultimate Golden Ticket to everything for him.
