September 19, 2001- One War At A Time Please

Now that the United States government has made it abundantly clear to all but the most dense that they feel the country is "at war with terrorism", one wonders just what effect this will all have on everyday American society. The leaders tell us al that it will have a great effect indeed, that things shall never ever be the same again. This "war" shall change the very fabric of American society, and so on they go. The thing is that the state of warfare has existed in America for a very long time now and has been a part of the fabric of American society for over thirty years. This war is none other than the War On Drugs started by that late patriot Richard Nixon, and continued with zeal and zest by his successors all the way to today. How can I even bring this Drug War shit up at a time like this? It's very simple. The fact is that this fuckin' Drug War has been one of the leading factors in getting America to the point that it is at now after this tragedy of September 11th.

I have been saying here and on the Hotline that American society and its people were exploited by those that committed this act. Exploitation of the Drug War was a huge part of that. Many Americans were shocked that this could happen in the USA. They were convinced that American airports had done enough since the 1970's to make sure that hijackings were a thing of the past. It seemed that way. You no longer heard of such incidents referred to by their '70's term "skyjackings", which the media coined after these incidents became far too commonplace in the skies of America and elsewhere. The metal detector system was instituted, and x ray technology was put into use, etc., and the problem declined dramatically, so much so that the '70's term for them went into the history books of that era along with mood rings and pet rocks. As time went on, travelers saw more and more devices in place at the airport which they assumed were there to ensure their safety. The government agreed, but what exactly were they interested in protecting the travelers from? Not what they thought that they were, that's for sure. The fact is that much of that sneaky-peepy spy equipment that has been used in American airports was intended not to detect weapons or potential hijackers, but to look for drugs and those that either had them or had been near them. Many of those magic wand type things that travelers has waved over their persons was not a metal detector at all, but something else. They are these fuckin' things that the government has come up with to scan the air particles around a person looking for the presence of drugs. What they're doing is looking to see if any microscopic particles of cocaine or heroin or marijuana are circulating in the air around a person. What they're looking for is some sort of chemical residue shit that would cling to a person if they had been in contact with any of these substances. The wand emits some sort of ultraviolet light under which these particles show up when the Pigs look at the readout screen and all this shit. This tells them that the individual in question was " in the presence" of whatever they see, and they go and bust him or her. They've made the whole thing look like another type of metal detector so the public won't know the difference. A lot of that x-ray shit that you se at American airports aren't there for packages or luggage either. If the Pigs see someone that they feel is carrying drugs, and they search them and don't find any, they will then use an x-ray machine on the person to look for drugs that they may have swallowed. That is the sole purpose of some of these x-ray machines that you see at airports. They are also made to look like part fo the general security apparatus so that people, can't tell the difference unless they are subjected to using these things, and that still only happens to a very small fraction of travelers. So the fact is that in America, the security emphasis in airports has been to get drug smugglers and users, not to look for terrorists. In Europe, this has not been the case, so the terrorists chose not to strike there but in America where they knew that they'd be more concerned about finding drugs than them. The fact that these people never used or were ever in the presence of drugs made them able to slip past American security, because drugs were what they were looking for, and these terrorists weren't into that. So they totally exploited the American War On Drugs to do something that has to be the worst trip that you could ever be on, something that drugs could never touch. However, American priorities were set differently, and the heaviest price was paid for that.

Another way that these two Wars come together is in how the American government doles out its foreign aid. To receive any, a country must first pass a lot of various requirements that the USA puts on them. Basically, they insist on being able to dictate social policies for these other countries, with American values and mores being the only ones tolerated. Since one of the biggest things that America has stood for in the last thirty years is this Drug War, the mentality behind that is used in this process a lot. If a country says that they are willing to cooperate with America in this war, they are given much better chances of getting some bread from the USA. Afghanistan is in one of the biggest areas for drugs on the planet. The climate there is great for growing shit like opium poppies, and the various products that are made from it, codeine, morphine, heroin, are an inevitable by-product of this. You can also grow some mean weed in Afghanistan, and get some killer hashish out of that as well. Add to all of this the strategic location of Afghanistan for drug smugglers to run their shit through from all over Asia and Europe. Stuff like cocaine and amphetamines that are not necessarily made or manufactured in Afghanistan, pass through its borders on their way to wherever else for distribution. Any way that you look at it, there's a lot of fuckin' drug activity there. So this makes them someone that the USA would lie to have cooperate with their Drug War. It doesn't even really matter who's running the show there either. Even Islamic fanatics are cool as long as they will cooperate with the USA's Drug War. We found that out earlier this year when the Bush administration approved a 48 million dollar aid package for Afghanistan and the Taliban dudes that run it because they pledged allegiance to the Drug War. They told America that fundamental Islam was against the use of drugs as it was and that they'd do what they could to stop drugs there in the name of Allah. Well, America liked what it heard, so they gave the Taliban the 48 million. They got some return for their dough. The Taliban rounded up some dealers and had a few show trials for them, and then promptly executed them, all in the name of Allah and the American Drug War. America was pleased. So much so that they didn't even realize that all this bullshit only cost the Taliban about one and one half cents of every dollar that they got from America. America figured that since Afghanistan was a poor country as it was, they could use the other 98 and one half cents of those dollars and do something with them. Well, they sure did. We saw exactly what they did with that other money on September 11th. They went and attacked america using tax monies of the American people to do it as well. When they said that they'd kill some fuckin' dealers, and no one ever knew exactly who these poor people were that they did all this shit to anyway, then they were OK dudes. The Islamic fanaticism was fine as long as they executed someone and said they they were drug dealers. The fact that they flat-out conned this money from America with every intent to use it against them in another way that is far more horrible than drugs could ever be is another way that this Drug War of America's has led to this new Terrorism War. Yes it is true that Islam is against drugs, as is most every other major world religion. That is all that America saw when they shelled out the bread to these dudes, and then they saw something much more horrible done with that very same bread.

Now if America is serious about winning this War On Terrorism, they must first stop the War On Drugs. At this time, every American is being told that they have a role to play in this new war. That's only going to work if the American government calls off the war that it declared against its own people when Nixon started this other shit. The terrorists knew full well that the resources and attentions of the American government and the Pigs was totally attuned to this Drug War shit. Technical advance after technical advance was being used to further this purpose. Laws were being passed with lightning speed to make drugs ever more illegal and forbidden. The Pigs and government were so busy fuckin' worrying about what its own people were up to in terms of drug usage that the terrorists were able to go right behind their backs and pull this shit off. Everyone is crying about New York and how horrible it's been for them, but how many people have been busted in New York for drug offenses since this happened? How can the people be expected to be with you in the new war if you have them all incarcerated because of the old one? If this Terrorism War is to really be won, the Drug War has to discontinued immediately. The main reason that Hitler lost World War 2 is because he decided to fight two wars at once against the Allies and Russia. If America tries to fight these two wars at once now, they will win neither. There are just going to have to be far too many resources used to fight terrorism to waste them fighting drugs anymore. To strain these resources to try and do both simultaneously will certainly put undue hardship onto the American people. There must be a choice made. What is more important to America, preventing September 11th from ever happening again, or vainly trying to stop people from getting high?

I am afraid that America won't make the choice to stop that fuckin' Drug War to fight this new one. Their early response seems to indicate this. Ashcroft is on the TV saying all this shit about things that we need to do in order to prevent this from happening again. He's carrying on about shit like money laundering laws, and how they must be tightened. The fact that these terrorists don't need to launder their money because they get it all from legitimate sources, like oil money or US aid, is forgotten here. These laws won't help stop terrorists, they'll just bust more drug dealers, who need to launder their cash because it's gotten illegally.Same with wiretapping. There are far more phone calls made in America by drug dealers setting up another deal than by terrorists, so you'll inevitably catch more of them than you will terrorists. Same with using the Carnivore shit to monitor e-mails and chat room and message boards and all of that. All these methods will get you a minuscule amount of terrorists and a maximum amount of drug dealers instead. America needs to realize that there are things that are a whole fuckin' lot worse than drugs in this world. It was shown just that live on TV on September 11th. If that doesn't convince the government that it's folly to have a Drug War that is really a war against the people that is fought on moral and political grounds only, then America is more trouble than they realize. For that sort of attitude is exactly what can and will sink America into losses on both fronts of these wars and cause irreparable harm to society, far more than the terrorists did on the 11th, and that I am sure is part of their insidious plan. If America doesn't stop the Drug War in favor of the Terrorism War, then the terrorists shall surely win, for that's what they're banking on, and will America fall into their trap yet again is the only question.
