Another thing that has been a big issue in America lately has been the war in Iraq. People have been starting to turn against it and this disaster has not helped that much. When National Guardsmen from Louisiana and Mississippi are in Iraq instead of home it does not look good at all, and now many more people are going to question America's presence there. Since almost every reason that Washington gave for the war has been proven to be a falsehood, like the weapons of mass destruction that Saddam never had, and the terrorist cells that were never there and so on, there are not many reasons left that hold any water with much of anyone anymore. There is just about one thing left that Washington can use, and that would be that "nation building" shit that they said that they were in Iraq to do. We have heard all about it: every time there is a road built or a school built or an election held in Iraq, it is trumpeted by Washington as a sign of nation building. All the major news networks have sent reporters to Iraq to cover all this nation building shit and breathlessly told us all about it. Washington has always said that they want to build a new Iraq, one where the people would live in freedom and democracy, not under tyranny and fear like they did under Saddam. Yes, the Iraqis lived under tyranny and fear under Saddam, but they were a sovereign nation, not some swamp that had to be drained and built like New Orleans, but Washington makes it seem as if it was. They said that they had to go in to Iraq and tear everything up and start all over again from scratch and make it better for the Iraqi people. At first, those people welcomed the Americans, because they liked what they heard, and wanted to see it done. America proclaimed that they were up to that job and have said that this is what they are doing ever since. That is the only thing that Washington has said that cannot be disproved, because it is such a subjective thing to begin with, I mean, what is nation building anyway? Washington says that it is putting a new political system in place and rebuilding the infrastructure of the land (since they destroyed it to begin with, they should do that), and most importantly, helping the people of Iraq get a better life. Even though they might not have had the worst life imaginable under Saddam, America said that they could help them get an even better one for themselves. That's the only thing that Washington has left to try and justify the war, even grabbing the oil does not work anymore, since gasoline prices are going sky high and even higher now. So nation building is their last stand, giving the Iraqis the life that they deserve and such would be the triumph for America that it seeks in Iraq.
There's a problem wit that though. To give the Iraqi people the better life that they promised, America first has to give that life to the citizens that it already has. After all, if the Iraqis are to accept this shit, they would have to be sure that they would get that better life from America and get their nation built. If they look at their TV sets lately, they see that this is not happening right in America itself, let alone overseas. The hurricane has shown that America is unable or unwilling to provide that great life for its own citizens in its own country and has no intention of changing that. If America could provide for its own, there would not be a catastrophe of such a major scale going on in America right now. It has become obvious that America just did not care about building that part of its nation very well, because that was where they were putting the poor people. If everything was not built like shit in New orleans, things are not this bad. From the shitty levees that could not handle a storm like Katrina, to the shoddy evacuation and hellish shelters they offered, to the inability of anyone to know quite what to do, the common theme here has been that it has all been about poor people. It Is clear that America built a second Rate nation at best for its poor and is now paying the price for that. This is just the most obvious example of this, but if you asked any Native Americans that are living in a reservation of some kind in America, they'll tell you that America built them shit all the way. They were in the same position as the Iraqis, they lived here first, and the whites and christians came to their land and methodically took it all away, promising to build the people already here a better nation. Well, ass the people that lived here in America first got was a nation of death and genocide, which continues to this very day. Only those whites and Christians got the great nation built, the natives were just cast aside and left to die. Same with the blacks, especially once slavery was abolished. They were told that they were going to get a better nation built for them too, but as we have seen this past week, they got nothing of the sort. America has not even built a better nation of millions of its own people right here at home, even though they have had over 225 years to do it in now. That is not because they cannot, but because they did not wish to do that. The better nation was not built for everyone, just a select few, and that number gets narrower and narrower every day it seems. Hurricane Katrina laid that as bare as a porn star during a sex scene and America is not denying it, they are just not saying much of anything about it. The job of nation building is far from complete right here in the USA, from sea to shining sea and so forth. This hurricane will not change that any either, it just gave Washington a great excuse to remove the unwanted from a place that they considered prime real estate and build the great nation for the chosen few, and let the rest have that second rate nation they always had before. This is now obvious to everyone, and it needs to have some bearing on the whole Iraqi situation. You can rest assured that the Iraqis have been watching this whole scene and analyzing it because they know that it affects them as much as anyone in America now, since Washington is there nation building.
All that is going to do is to fuel the resistance more than any Mullah or other Holy Man could ever hope to do at the mosque on Friday. The Iraqis are part of a civilization that has been around for thousands of years more then America has been, and they do not want to lose it like that. They see that America will only build a better nation for the select few, just as Saddam did, only these will be a different few. They see the blacks being decimated and essentially killed in record numbers in New Orleans now and they have seen the native Americans dying on the reservations, and they do not want that for themselves. That is why they fight so furiously, not because some Holy Asshole tells them to in honor of the Koran, that is fiction. They know that America has zero chance of building a nation there because they have not even come close to finishing building a nation right where they are now. They see that only chosen ones will have any chance in a new nation, and they also know that they have a slim chance of being one of them too. So, they have no choice but to wage guerrilla warfare against America to try and not end up like the blacks and Indians in America. Washington has gotten out a major propaganda campaign to counter that ever since the war started, telling Americans that this is no tso, that they can and will build a better nation in Iraq, and for the most part, the people have listened to that shit. They have gotten behind that nonsense and waved their flags and sung their patriotic songs and chanted USA-USA-USA like never before. That has helped Washington make its attempt at nation building and such in Iraq. Now, the American people can see that what they were told was just another lie and falsehood. They can see that their government cannot even build a great nation for them here, and that there is no chance of them building one in Iraq. The fable that Washington has spun has now been exposed, but the question is whether anyone will take advantage of that or not. The American people have been bullied relentlessly into thinking that any criticism of the war is tantamount to treason and that will prove hard to break. However, this disaster down South has shown that this lie is such a destructive and terrible thing, that the American people may very well be shaken out of their shells by it. This has been almost as much a national trauma as September 11th, 2001 was, and it was that trauma that led to the brainwashing of the American people, as they just could not grasp the whole thing, and accepted whatever they were told. Washington has done all that it can possibly do to make sure that this trauma has lasted as long as it can, and this hurricane shit might very well be the trauma that shakes America out of the other one. This disaster has been one where Americans have been told to work together to help, not one where politics was key and divided people on the whole thing. The hurricane was not an act of bin laden or anyone like that, it was an act of nature, of God if you will, and that has made Americans look at things much differently this time. They are seeing another lie being told to them about the nation they live in, that people are equal and America is great for all, and they are starting to question things a lot more. They see all their money and energy and lives and such go to Iraq for these pie in the sky fairy tales and they see people just like them, American citizens, dying in the streets of a major American city while The Establishment wrings its hands in woe. That is going to make it very hard to convince anyone that Washington has any ability at all to build a nation in Iraq or anywhere else. If the people start to ask that question in great numbers, they'll see that they get no answers from those that they ask, and that could be the beginning of the end for the warmongers. However, they are a strong lot, those warmongers, and they shall have all sorts of things at their disposal to counter all that shit. They will shake the patriot stick and call critics unamerican and such and they'll scream and shout on TV, threaten and cajole, bit one thing they won't do is start building a better nation here in America. They never wanted to before, and they don't want to now, and that's all there is to it. They don't want to build one in Iraq either, they just want to steal material wealth for themselves. That is more obvious now than ever, and the American people need to stand up and say enough of this shit.If they do, that might have a better chance of stopping the resistance in Iraq then the war shit is having. If the Iraqis see that the Americans are not supportive of such a ridiculous idea, they'll be more apt to put down their arms, because they don't want to fight a fucking war, they want to live too. They just feel that America is trying to deprive them of that right, just as they have deprived so many of their own people of over the years. They always knew that the nation building shit was just a fable told by Washington, and they were angry that the American people seemed not to know that themselves. If anything positive is to come out of Hurricane Katrina, it could be the fact that the American people finally woke up to that fact and decided to do what they had to do about it. They say that there is something positive that comes out of anything, no matter how bad it is, and Hurricane Katrina sure puts that to the test, but that silver lining is indeed there for the taking and it's just a matter of the people taking that silver lining and making great good come out of such a horrible catastrophe as this.
