August 29, 2007- Case Closed

The war of words between Washington and Tehran has been heating up with the summertime warming, and as the summer has progressed, it has started to become red hot, events of late show that. A few weeks ago, Washington added the Iranian Revolutionary Gurad of its list of known terrorist organizations, which pissed Iran off no end. This addition to the list was different than all the others, because the Iranian Revolutionary Guard is not some kind of social/political organization like Hamas or Fatah or any of the other groups on the list, it is an arm of the Iranian government, they are sort of a special Pig force for the governemnt, their special guards and shit, they do not, can not, and never have operated independently of the Iranian government. Never before has Washington listed a part of anyone's government on that list, they either put the entire government on there or leave them off, none of this pick and choose shit, that is, until now. Putting the Revolutionary Guard on the list is sort of a backdoor, sneaky way of putting the Iranian governemnt on the list, and that's what has Tehran pissed off so. They have consistently said that they are not a terrorism sponsor and don't belong on that list, and now their inner circle so to speak is on it, and that does not sit well with them. Washington says that it had to do that because the Guard is doing shit like providing aid and arms to the insurgents fighting America in Iraq, they say that is how Tehran is getting around things and getting involved without it looking like they are. However, it is pretty common knowledge that this Revolutionary Guard activity, real or imagined, is the issue that has Washington so upset with Iran, that is all about another issue, and that is the Iranian nuclear program. For years now, Washington has tried to tell Iran to shut that program down, that they have no need to have it to begin with, and that all they want to do with it is make nuclear weapons. Iran has not denied that tghey want this either, President Ahmadinejad has flat out stated that they want a little more than electricity out of the whole thing, he has said that there's a part of it that is all about making those weapons and that America cannot do a fucking thing about it. He goes on about how Israel has these weapons too, and Washington does not do anything about it, and that Iran has just as much a right as Israel to have these things and Washington can go fuck off, and that just incenses Washington more, and the war of words and shit goes on unabated. The only fly in the Iranian ointment here is the fact that they do not have the technology or ability and such to build these nuclear reactors, and that they have to outsource that job to Russia. That puts them at the mercy of Russia in terms of getting this shit built, and Russia has reasons of its own that they might not want Iran to have this stuff, and they have reared their heads during all of this. Russia suddenly said that Iran had not paid the bills for the services renderedand said that tghey were going to quit work and there was zero that Iran could do about it, so the nuclear program ground to a halt, but that did not stop Washington from putting the Revolutionary Guard on the list and heating everything up yet again. All of this shit has many convinced that an American attack against Iran is imminent, even some ex-CIA dude is saying that, and many fear that this will be the next  bloody battleground in the Middle East, because even with all this saber rattling from Washington, Iran is not backing down one iota, in fact, they seem to be welcoming all of this shit by Washington and inviting them to "bring it on" as Bush so famously said a few years back whern this war shit was all starting.

President Ahmadinejad of Iran addressed these issues just a day or so ago, and what he said was not music to anyone's ears. He said that the Iranian nuclear program was going full speed ahead, because they could get back on track because when Russian President Vladmir Putin visited Iran recently, he said that Russia was going to come back and finish the job that they started  over in Iran, the fuss over the missed payments seemingly forgotten, and that made Ahmadinejad very happy indeed, so he told Washington to go fuck themselves again and said that Iran's nuclear dossier was "closed" and that everything they ever wanted to do was going to happen whether Washington liked it or not. he also said that he knows that Washington is not going to do anything about it except talk and threaten, because he says that America is in no position to attack Iran now, because they are spread too thin fighting wars already and do not have the manpower to do anything to Iran. Everything that he said was backed up by some United Nations study, some of those UN nuclear people went to Iran and asked him about all this, and he gave them the same answers, so what Ahmadinejad said was not idle boasting or bullshit, it was for real. That sort of shit is why Washington suddenly decided to put the Iranian Revolutionary Guards on the shit list, because they knew that all of this was going down, and they wanted to make one of their famous "pre-emptive strikes", and that was it. However, it seems that none of that fazed either Ahmadinejad or the Holy Men that are the true power behind the throne in Iran because they seem to be intent on forging ahead with everything. Putin was the magic wheel behind this, when he agreed to finsih the job that Russia started, that meant everything was on again, including the war of words between Washington and Tehran. The Revolutionary Guards are just a pretext here, the real fight is over the nuclear program, and it seems that Iran is intent on pursuing it to the fullest, the American threats and such have not scared them at all, because they seem to think that America cannot do anything over it. Apparently, this makes them think that they have a green light do do as they please and if America does not like it, tough shit. This all makes it look like we have some modern day version of the Cuban Missile crisis on out hands and that yet another war is imminent. If America was so willing to go blasting into Afghanistan and Iraq on much flimisier pretenses than these, it would stand to reason that they would go into Iran over all of this shit. Everyone knows that George W. Bush does not take being stood up to lightly, especially by Islamic republics and the politicians that run them. So it seems very logical that he would hear this shit that Ahmadinejad said and get very upset at it, his ego getting inflamed and all, and decide that he is indeed going to attack Iran, he has nothing to lose by doing so because he is retiring soon and no one can do anything to him, so why should he let some bearded hotdog like Ahmadinejad taunt him and dare him to do shit in his final months? If the Iranian nuclear program is really as closed as he says that it is, why shouldn't he try and shut the fucker down the way that he kows best, and that is having others do the dirty work for him in a war? Everything else that Buish has done ever since he came into office has been along these lines, and since this situation with Iran seems to be even more serious than the others it seems very logical that he would resort to hios best trick again. However, this whole situation is not what the politicians are making it out to be, and will be handled accordingly.

To begin with, the Iranian nuclear program is not an imminent threat to anyone, mainly because even if Russia completes the work they started and Iran goes full speed ahead, this wil take many a year to complete, long after both President Bush, President Putin, and President Ahmadinejad are long gone, living on retirement packages somewhere. That leaves this issue for whoever succeeds these guys, and even who succceeds their successors, so they are not all that worried about it at all. By the time that this issue is really resolved, they will have zero input and interest in it, so whatever happens now means nothing. That is why they all can talk so tough, because none of these dudes are leaders for life, like a King or other dictator, they all know that they have a definitive end, and that these ends are coming up sooner rather than later. So they are all looking towards the history books of their respective lands and they are as egocentric as any leaders anywhere and want  to dictate how they are remembered in said history books. So they are all grabbing every soapbox that they can get and standing tall on them and saying this and that and everything else all in order to appear strong and such for the historians to write good things about them. They all know that each other is in that situation too, and that's why they can make all these deals and statements, because they know that they will be rendered obsolete soon. Since it can take many, many decades to make a nuclear program run right, there's ample room for negitiations and such and warfare is not going to ne necessary here. So even if Iran wants nuclear weapons now, they cannot have them until the end portion of next decade at the earliest, and that's only if everything goes smoothly, which it surely will not. There are an awful lot of people that do not want Iran having nuclear weapons besides Israel in fact, most of the word does not like that idea too much. Iran has a bad reputation among the world community as a rogue state run by crazed Holy Men and many around the world are a little nervous about that, and they'll put pressure on in the future to try and make sure that this program takes an awful lot longer than it should. The leaders of the future are going to make thi sa top priority, mainly because it looks so good for them, and they'll be kicking this  issue around like a football for decades to come, so no one needs to get nervous about Iran having nuclear weapons soon, no matter what ex-CIA spooks come out on TV and say otherwise. That's whay Ahmadinejad cam make such bombastic statements all the time, and they should not be taken any more seriously than the statements that Ted Nugent makes about Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama during his concerts. Both of them are being showmen, and want to create controversy to create cash and to create a legacy for themselves and none of it needs to be taken literally. Putin only re-started the construction program so that he could get some more graft  and kickback money of of it before he has to retire, so none of these leaders is doing anything more than looking out for themselves and their cronies, the thing that every politician does all the time, and grandstanding, another thingt that they do  oh so well. So despite the dire proclamations of some pundits, this is not an imminent issue here, and there is no reason to be concerned over it much, just another tempest in a teacup. besides, the main players in this are all known bullshitters, and they  like to say one thing and do another, and they are doing just that here.

America and Russia say that the are nervous over a nuclear Iran for their own safety's sake, but they lie here. They both have a reason for wanting that to happen, and rthat reason is Israel. Neither of them wants Israel to be unchecked in the Middle East, able to do as they please when they please, because that would run counter to their interests, since Israel answers to no one except themselves, and does as it pleases, even when their friends and allies say or wish otherwise. Israel has been known to go behind th ebacks of and doublecross its friends and alies when it has been convenient for them, and if they reign supreme in the Middle East, that will only increase. So there has to be a counterweight to them somewhere, and that counterweight is Iran. The Persians are the greatest enemy that Israel has, and neutralizing them would not be in America's or Russia's interests so they are not going to do it. They also do no tcare if Iran gets nuclear shit because America and Russia have more of that shit than anyone else on earth and always will, they are the originators of that shit, and no one will ever be able to match their nuclear arsenals. Besides that, the atomic genie has long been oput of the bottle, there are countries al over the earth that have nuclear weapons, and none of them has tried anything with them. Iran will be no different, just because they have nuclear weapons doe snot mean that they are going to use them, and America is safe from them ,as is Russia. Iran knows that if they tried to launch strikes against either of these, they'd get hit back in a hurry and devastated worse than any damage they could inflict. Iran is a way smaller country than America, and a nuclear strike there would fuck up way more of the land, so they are not going to take that risk. However, if they do not have atomic weapons and Israel does and no one is there to check Israel, that is where the nuclear strike could come from bcecaue Israel would like nothing better than to wipe Iran off of the map forever. They would not care that America and Russia would not like that, and if there is no counter to them, that is exactly what will happen. They know that nothing that they do or say would stop Israel from lauching a strike against Iran except for the fact that Iran has the same weapons and could strike back in kind, so letting Iran have these weapons is not as bad as they make it seem. However, Washington cannot say that, because they do not want to be seen as hostile towards Israel, so they make these statements and do shit like putting the Revolutionary Guard on the terror list. Iran knows this too, so they respond in kind, acting like they are all pissed off over it when they realize that they are going to get exactly what they want out of this. Israel knows all this too, but they cannot do shit about it except sit there and stew over it and try and fuck it all up as best they can. So it is true that the issue of the Iranian nuclear program is a closed case and has been for a long  time, it just may not be the case that everyone thinks that it is, but is is closed nonetheless. Iran is going to join the nuclear club soonere or later, as is every nation on earth, it is just that they won't join it without a lot of fanfare and fuss over the fact. They'll be responsible with the shit, they have to be or else risk total annihilation themselves as will every other atomic nation. This is all about world politics and where the Iranian nuclear program fits into them, so it is just a show for blowhard politicians to act big and bad and set the stage for the inevitable future that the world is headed towards.
