Eight months into his Presidency, the unthinkable happened, September 11th, 2001. If a President is in the spotlight as it is, this thrust Bush into a light unimagined by his predecessors. Bush rode that wave of that day into unprecedented levels of popularity, his numbers were off the fucking charts, they were so high. He shattered his dad's record, set after the Gulf War of 1991, and seemed to be able to do no wrong. No one dared criticize him no matter what he said or did. Ramming a serious piece of legislation like the patriot Act through Congress in ultra-swift fashion and without the usual debate over it did not result in any heat for Bush, in fact, most praised the Act as something that showed a strong leader that was willing to do whatever it took to deal with this situation. The same shit went on with the War On Terror, which never went well from the start. Time after time, Washington fucked things up and failed to get the job done, but it was never Bush that took the heat, always some other flunky from the Pentagon or whatever. Osama bin Laden went uncaptured year after year, but Bush took no heat for America's astounding failure to find the dude when they knew pretty much where he was all the time. Even when he and his masters rammed a war through the rest of the world, going to combat on false pretenses and lies, no one gave Bush any real heat over it, the war was hailed as one of the greatest things that America had ever done and those that disagreed were painted as unamerican traitors. As time went on, and the war in Iraq went from bad to worse, and it became clear that there had been no planning for this thing and that America was painfully unaware of how to go about this, the heat started to build. However, that heat had no place in the Oval Office, for Bush followed his lifelong pattern and took no heat for it, and called everyone that tried to give him any the enemy. However, as the war in iraq slogged on and on and on, and as the amounts of American lives lost went up and up and up, the heat started making its way to that Oval Office. At first, Bush did what he could to dodge it like he always did for his whole life. As time has gone on, that became harder and harder to do, and even calling everyone that gave him heat an unpatriotic traitor and enemy of America was no longer working like it once did. Those astronomical approval numbers that he once had were now steadily eroding down to more normal numbers. This summer has seen the really dramatic increase in that, for a number of reasons. The War In Iraq has become a very dangerous quagmire, and it looks more and more like something that America is unable to control. All of the families that are having to bury loved ones killed in action there have fueled that increase. The "Peace Mom" , or whatever the fuck you want to call her, Cindy Sheehan, the woman that has camped out at Bush's ranch most of August looking to have a word with him, has also increased heat on Bush, as the media has gotten into the act at a slow news time of year and has really turned up the heat on George W. Bush for perhaps the first time in his life.
It is starting to look as if George W. Is not handling the heat very well either. There are all kinds of stories coming out about him losing his cool and composure and freaking out about shit. He has allegedly gone into profane tirades about Cindy Sheehan (calling her "that goddamned bitch"), war protestors ( who he calls "motherfucking traitors"), and public opinion polls, ("they don't know shit"). Now much of that is hearsay, no reporters have been there when he was allegedly saying these things, but they have been there when he ha shad other types of outbursts. It seems that George W. Has had this habit of giving people that upset him the finger something that he has done his entire adult life. Now, that sounds like a very un-Presidential thing to do, and one would think that George W. Had left that nasty habit behind with things like picking his nose and belching, seeing as he is the President and all. However, he has done no such thing, flipping off the media a few times as of late. One was as they were getting ready for a photo op for signing the CAFTA bill, Bush gave the assembled reporters the finger before things started, and they caught the act on film. To see the President of The United States giving reporters the finger with a defiant look on his face as he prepared to do something that had no correlation to the war and the heat it has given him, has made it look as if George W. Is not handling the heat well. Even his close aides admit that when you tell him something that he doe snot like, that he gives you the finger or says to go fuck yourself or something mature like that. As of late, he has been doing that more and more, as the heat builds and builds. For the first time in his life, Bush is seeing what it is like to truly be held accountable for what you do, and he does not seem to like it much. He is the most important man in the world they say, and he is the visible leader of America, and he is now pouting and flipping the bird to people like some kind of recalcitrant seven year old brat that missed his nap today. Even though his approval numbers are not anywhere near the low levels of Richard Nixon circa August 1974, Bush acts as if it the end of the fucking world. It looks like if he cannot be the all powerful, all popular leader that everyone loves, he has a tantrum and takes it out on those around him. After all, he is the President in the toughest times that America has seen in years and cannot reasonably expect to ride this massive wave of popularity right to January 20, 2009. As it was, he rode that wave for over three years, long enough to get him re-elected and it has to crest sometime. Now that it has, he is freaking out and acting like a little fucking baby about it all. As always, he does what he can to deflect the heat, pushing it instead onto his staffers and underlings, trying to make them look like the ones responsible. However, he is the man at the top and he got there allegedly knowing what came with that job, and should shoulder the responsibility now that everything is not Hollywood perfect for him and he seems unwilling to do that. He seems to be getting more and more unglued over this, and that does not make for strong leadership in times of crisis. However, Bush does not seem to care about that, he seems to be more concerned about the fact that he is no longer universally beloved anymore and is having to take heat for what he did, something that has never happened to him before in life. It seems as if he is cracking under that unknown strain and that's the last thing that Americans need their alleged leader to do right about now with things the way that they are in the world.
Bush's Tirades and tantrums do have a basis in reason however, no matter how thin that reason is. In this case, that reason is that George W. Bush is finally seeing that the dudes that he has thrown in with over the years, the ones that helped him get where he is today, are all the real traitors, and are ready to get the fuck away from him as fast as they can now that the heat in finally on him. He sees that his so called allies are starting to fade away into the woodwork and distance themselves from him now and trying to save their own asses. That upsets Bush so much because hsi entire adult life has been about one thing, and that is doing the bidding that these buddies and cronies of his wanted done. The dude has been so firmly into the pocket of Mr. Businessman for many years now that it's all that he knows. Everything that he has done since taking the Oath Of Office on January 20, 2001 has been for Mr. Businessman primarily. The entire war scene has been for him, to make him so much fucking money that he will go into multiple orgasms and George has delivered for him, at least he thinks so. However, George has found out that Mr. Businessman is a lying, cheating, selfish sack of shit that is now bailing out on him because of the heat. He is finding out that as the frontman for this, no matter how much of a puppet he may be, that he is the one that ultimately takes the heat sooner or later and the one that Mr. Businessman leaves twisting in the wind for the vultures to pick clean. This war shit was not really George W's idea, it was that of Mr. Businessman, George was just the stooge that put it in motion, and in the mind of Bush, that means that he should never take any heat for this, as it was not his idea in the first place. However, he has seen that the people do not know that, and really don't care either, they are told that the President is the top man and therefore the one that gets the heat, and he can't handle that. Mr. Businessman knew that this was coming all along and has been preparing for it for four years now and is now putting that plan into action. George W. Bush is of limited use to him from no won anyway, as January 20, 2009 is not that far off anymore, and that's when George W. is forced into retirement and another stooge will have to be brought in and used, and Mr. Businessman is already getting ready for that time. George W. Seemed to not realize that this was the case and is just now finding it out, and is throwing one hell of a temper tantrum over it too. He seemed to think that he would just ride off into the sunset and retire like something out of a Hollywood movie, or be taken into Heaven like Jesus allegedly was and is seeing that just will not happen. All the heat that he has Generated is now coming back to burn him right up, and that is a hell of a lot of heat over these years. He has zero idea of how to deal with this, and those that always told him what to do and how to deal with things are leaving him lickety split and he is high and dry. What this is going to lead to is anyone's guess, there are those that think that Bush has taken up drinking again as a way to cope with this all. But no matter what he does, it will not be good for anyone. For a man that has always been able to beat the heat in life is not about to be able to deal with it in any sort of rational, reasonable way, and when that man runs the Free World, that is not a good combination. Giving reporters the finger for no good reason is just the start of this, as these sort of incidents will surely escalate and Bush's behavior will become increasingly erratic and downright scary. If he does not stop that, he will soon end up like richard Nixon was in his final days in the White House, walking around talking to paintings and ranting and raving all the time. That was not good for America then and it would be worse for America now, as the stakes are considerably higher then they were in the Nixon situation. Bush's puppet masters are starting to release their hold on the strings and he is starting to collapse as a result. He seems to be losing control and focus on a daily basis and that is not a way to win a war, and America is seeing the result of that. All that this will lead to is further deterioration of the situations both in Iraq and at home in America, and at home in the White House especially. Bush is learning that he has been taken for a ride by these people all these years and that it was not a free ride like he thought it was for so long. He is now paying the price for that ride, and it is not a pretty price, as it is a price that not only George W. Bush Is paying, but because of the position that he has in society, we are all about to pay for that ride that he got and everyone is going to be ripped off big time by it too. A life of privilege has its costs, and those that have them never find out that cost until it is way too late, and George W. Bush is no exception to that even though he always thought otherwise, but when you tie yourself in with insincere liars and madmen, you eventually have to pay that price and feel that heat, and Bush is finding that out now, and just because he does not like that, we all have to suffer for it.
